Hi everyone,

Emanuel here, founder of DanceSafe. It's been a while since I posted here but I wanted to let everyone know of some new, reagent-based purity test kits I created.

My colleague, Matt Aragón and I recently spent six months in the lab and developed quantitative or "purity" test kits for MDMA, LSD and psilocybin mushrooms. Purity here means "percentage purity" or the amount of active ingredient in your sample.

For example, the MDMA kit can tell you how many milligrams of MDMA are in your ecstasy tablet, or the percentage purity of crystals or powder. The LSD kit tells you how many micrograms of LSD are in your tab of blotter or drop of liquid. And the psilocybin kit will give you the milligrams per gram of psilocybin/psilocin your batch of shrooms.

We have priced our kits affordably. At least we hope so. And Grassroots Harm Reduction, who also sells them, has a coupon right now for 25% off. The coupon code is "DefendHarmReduction".

Also, just so everyone knows... I am no longer with DanceSafe. The chapters revolted in the Summer of 2023 when the new executive stripped away their autonomy. They left and started a new nonprofit called Grassroots Harm Reduction. A few months later I also left DanceSafe and began working for the chapters and their new organization, which I feel better reflects my values (the values DanceSafe abandoned, unfortunately).

Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions about them. And as always, stay safe! :)

Eman

P.S. - To give you a idea, here's an image of what the results look like. These are for MDMA:

Hey I was reading through the instructions for the proper way to conduct the MDMA test, and near the top it says that you don't have to weigh out exactly 25mg of sample (as long as it's less than 32mg it's ok). Wouldn't that effect the results (e.g. if you dissolved 10mg in the vial of water as opposed to 20mg, the concentration would be half as much)?

Hi emanual just read your statement about Miraculix

Sorry to hear it all fell to shit. I met them 3 years ago at MAPS psychedelic science and im not sure how i felt about them, they really were not that friendly to me, possibly because i manufacture test kits and work with HPLC and GC/MS analsis of street drugs all the time. I was interested in them because i thought hey, if theyve got a way to actually quantify drug levels that a layman can perform, well thats even better than reagent kits. They gave me a mushroom kit which i sadly lost, but i was never really that interested in knowing how much psilocybin is in my mushrooms. Extracts maybe..

Anyway its always sad/frustrating to see an entity that promotes harm reduction prioritizing profits over people (im also thinking of bunk police here). Ive always been of the opinion that the more companies that produce these kinds of products means competition, which means lower prices, which means more availability, which means more people being safe. If they were TRULY focused on harm reduction, then they would want as many of these products out there as possible. But money ruins most things :*(

Hope things smooth out.

Sorry to hear about Dancesafe as well. Mitchell seemed like a decent guy..

Hi. Yes that's correct. If you use 10mg you will get a lower result. The kit shows you how much MDMA you tested, meaning how much you dissolved in the water. So if you're MDMA is only 50% pure, and you put 10 mg in, you'll get a result that is very low on the chart (barely a color change). This is why we suggest using 25 mg instead. It's easier to assess the percentage purity if you use more (so the color ends up in the middle of the chart). I hope this makes sense?

Oh I see, so if you put in 10mg and the color on the chart shows 5, then that means you're at a purity of 50% if I'm understanding correctly.

what is the preferred loading? You recommend 25mg?

None of us know if our MDMA is 50% when we starting this process...
