New Poem- ~All I had to do~

Ok, I have had one hellava day thats changed the way I think of things once again.
Tell me whatcha think of this one, k peepz out there? =)
I came up with this one off the top of my head to do my best to describe my feelings right now.. =)

*ALL I HAD TO DO*
All I had to do was ask
for you to come to me
To simply open up my heart
and let my spirit see
I know now why I was so sad
for you weren't in my life
I know now why things got so bad
The digging like a knife
Before it seemed I felt so dead
With demons at my heel
Now I take comfort in your light
and thats nothing they can steal
I never want to hurt myself
the way I did today
For I know now just how much I'm loved
and it will never go away
Without you God, I payed the cost
So alone, sad, and confused
I tried to fill the emptiness
With every drug I've used
I know now that I have worth
That my life isn't a worthless toy
With you God, I see the light
And it makes me weep with joy.
