NEW PM - New Drug Policy?

Hmm I highly doubt it. Gillards left persuasions have always been more associated with the work place rather then social progression. She's been put into the leadership to win the election by the right faction of the labor party. There is no way they'd tolerate an unpopular change of drug policy. If she won the election I still doubt she would.
In my opionion I think labor will poll slightly better at the election. Gillard will go back on the mining tax and reintroduce the ets. Doing so could bring some green voters back to labor.

^ I agree with your points there, the whole Right faction of the ALP pretty much swung against Rudd didn't they...

Jesus I hate how the mininx tax has so much opposition. The miners really have done a good job spreading their (rax deductible) propoganda.
I personally don't think we'll see much of a change from Grand Comissar Rudd's current drug policy under Julia Gillard. Perhaps some more minor improvements with drug injectment centres or other HR, but no major changes. The cabinet is staying pretty much the same.
Keenly watching ABC today. Big surprise when I first heard about it last night. Can't believe it all happened so fast. Anyone else reckon Gillard is a Lesbot ?

Can we keep this thread on Gillard's drug policy, either that or send it off to social with the Sex party thread that went this morning.
Perhaps someone might like to dig up related comments Julia has made in the past. Something relating to her thoughts on HR would make interesting reading, and provide better grounds for speculation.
