Just a quick word on detoxing from a 14 year legit prescribed morphine habit. (180 mg daily) it's been interesting to say the least. Biggest surprise was sudden acute onset diplopia on day 6. Here on day 11 I have trained my left eye to pull the double back in line with the right eye. I know it sounds weird but if I gaze and let loose I can cause the double vision to where there are distinctly two objects many feet apart and then I can swing them back together. I practiced this for 5 days and this morning it paid off. So it goes.

Ive had about 10 hours sleep in just the last four days and none going through hell so I'm looking forward to some rest soon. Maybe tonight.

Blessings , gold and silver on all. And may ye be a half an hour in heaven before the devil knows you're dead.

Sounds like you are making lemonade out of lemons at least.;) What was the prescription for and what precipitated being able to come off of it?

I was originally prescribed Hydrocodone in 2003 for severe back pain t-12 crushed so pain in pelvis and going down left leg. But I have Hep ABC and the total recommended dose of APAP for a compromised liver is 2 grams so I asked to be moved off to Morphine.

Fast FWD to July 2017 the Hospital folded and my Doc moved away. Was referred to a pain clinic that would not prescribe. Washington State is on the war path concerning opiates. They are leading the charge and other States are watching. So I had no choice. I do have 180 15 mg MS ER and 60 15 mg MS IR at arms length next to the clonadine and baklofan but I'm solid. It's time. I guess the pain clinic is going to give me and epidermal down in that area somewhere. I first have to get a Protime since they are concerned about clotting issues.

It's been a helluva a ride. All the usual suspects surfaced for the first 6-7 days. Feeling a lot better. I think I'm gonna go make some lemonade now that you put that in my mind.

Cheers
