Where I don't want to be.
Wanted to know who else has gotten their hands on the new OP's yet. Just got some 20s the other day. They are easier to cut in half than before and to chew up in your mouth. Now I just tried the microwave method on the new ones (but this was my first time trying it ever) and I microwaved a 20 for atleast 10 minutes, maybe 15, and it didn't change color at all, then after trying to nuke it longer my microwave broke down. So I'm just curious what you guys think of the new OP's that came out and if you're having trouble w/ the microwave method. Thanks

What do you mean by the new new OPs? Purdue Pharma has no news of having released a new formulation of the "OP" OxyContin since 2010 when the original reformulation was approved, after the original "OC" was discontinued on August 9th 2010.

Do you have a source confirming that OxyContin was once again reformulated since the original OC was replaced by the OP over a year ago? I don't think that they made a newer one.

@tommyboy, He said "the new OPs", I think he's just talking about OPs, not yet another change to the OC formula.

@OP- Umm, I've been getting "new" OxyContin (OP) for almost two years now, and haven't seen the oldschool OC we know and love since Christmas 2011. I still have a small stash of the good OC-20/40/80s, saving them for the day I get married :P (I don't drink, so I'd prefer it than Champagne)

^ I wasn't sure, but the reason I thought he meant newer OP ones is because he said that they are easier to break in half and to chew, which is far from the case when comparing the OP to old OC, since OPs are so hard to break up unless you have a callus remover.

Look... I saw on one of the posts for microwaveing the OP's that someone on one of the last posts, on one of the threads, said that Canada was getting the OP's around the end of FEB. '12 but theirs were gonna have 1 less ingredient in them...follow??? Well I believe I just picked up a couple of the new ingredient OP'S...got me? Again they are much easier to cut in half than before, and I can chew them up very easily in my mouth...I chew them up into smaller pieces. I didn't hear anything on the news or see an article about it, but I did see someone mention that Canada was getting the OP's soon and like I said, they were going to have 1 less ingredient since 1 ingredient in the new OP's is banned or something like that in Canada. I'll reply again with the persons post when I find it in a few.

Canada doesn't have the same markings on their oxy pills as in the US. The OxyNeo is going to start being distributed in March I believe, so I doubt that it what you got.

The real story here is that the new OP oxycontin destroyed your mother fucking microwave. These things are unstoppable...

Well I really just wanted to know if anyone else has gotten the, what i believe to be, newer OP's and what you guys think about them and also if the microwave method works on them. I used a pet pedicure tool which grinds the pills as close as possible to a powder, then nuked it, and it didn't change color one bit after atleast 10 mins so I'm thinking they now have made them where the microwave method won't work anymore. So yes verso these bastards may finally be unstopabble after all... :(

Yep, I just found the article:

"The new formula, soon to hit shelves, is Purdue Pharma's answer to recent criticism over just exactly how abuse-proof its new OxyContin may or may not be. Not only is the OxyContin tablet rendered useless whenever it is microwaved for some extended period of time, but, incredibly, the pill now turns into a three-quarter inch, fully-armored goblin to kick the ever-living shit out of your microwave."

I don't think that anybody was arguing with the fact that Canada is getting the new "abuse resistant" OxyContin called OxyNeo. We were saying that the "OP" formulation has not changed.

These new oxyneos are in Canada. I have gotten them. They are coming out :(

How do they look, and what is the marking on them?

this is the last straw for me and oxycodone. I mean come on, now all we have is ROXIS? I'm not complaining but I just remember the days when people had options....

@TommyBoy... i do believe that the OP formulation has changed even in the US now. Once again the 20 OP's I just got are 1) easier to cut in half, 2) easier to chew up into small pieces, 3) actually slightly less gelly, but still where if you grind them down to a powder and snort them you will still end up getting mozzorella cheese boogers, and 4) I don't know this for sure, but maybe now the microwave method doesn't work anymore. The reason for me starting this thread was to find out if anyone else in the US has noticed their OP's are different as well and if they were having trouble with the micro. method. Lastly if Canada's OP's were going to have one less ingredient in them as reported then it would probably make sense that the US would just use the same formula as well, plus I saw a comment in one of the articles that Purdue's patent on the new oxy ERs was up and to keep generics from coming out they had slightly changed their formula (now idk how that works, just saying I saw someone comment on the change).

I just checked the Purdue Pharma sites and both the 'OP' OxyContin in the US and the OxyNeo in Canada have the same ingredients.

Page 39 on this link shows the ingredient list for the 'OP' OxyContin from a PDF on the official site; http://www.purduepharma.com
Page 3 on here shows the OxyNeo ingredient list from the official site for Canada; http://www.purdue.ca

Page 22 on that PDF states that the OxyNeo has a 'ON' imprinted on one side, and the dosage imprinted on the other.

There is no information about a different formulation of the OP's. Perhaps the ones that you got were not authentic.

I didnt pay much attention to them tommy. I did notice that all the pills he had were diff mgs but looked like same. White with a marking on one side and the mg on the other. Didnt pay much attention, hope I could help.
TBH I could give a rats ass they changed em. Now I wont be doing as many drugs. And if I wanna get high off oxy just eat the damn thing, it will last longer anyway. Now ppl are gonna be like why was I snorting these anyways? Eatting lasts so much longer!

And anyways there are many other abuseable opiates out there
...
Plus with my stockpile im HAPPY to see this happen. GOOD FIGHT DRUG MARKET:) Fatten up my pockets baby..
