The mayor of Sydney has given approval for a dance version of the national anthem to be played throughout the harbour for New Years eve. John Howard said it sounded terrible. I tend to agree.

I think the concept is brilliant.
But whoever was responsible for the singing.........needs to be crucified........its bloody horrid.........and that is being kind.

Call me UnAustralian, but i don't really like our national anthem full stop. Sure it makes me feel all patriotic during the olympics, but other than that, i don't really enjoy hearing it all that much.
That being said, Australia is full of so many talented DJs/Producers, and yet they come up with that tripe.

The problem with our talented DJs/Producers is that they individually produce/DJ for a select genre of music which the general populace won't stand for, and will most likely dislike.
Teeny-bopper is the way to go - the semi-oldies can bear with it, the young ones

Probably not all that many went to war under our anthem, considering actually kinda new. Interesting facts.
But still, it's our official anthem and thus shouldn't be fucked with. This new version doesn't even stay that close to the same tune, so you can't even sing along. Hardly the stuff to make you stand bolt upright with your hand on your heart, is it?

I'm not patriotic at all, but I do know it's pretty rude to go and change our flag and/or anthem to "suit" a new generation of people that for the most part don't understand what it means...
