yeah i'll join this cause, i really want the social thread back too :( what else am i supposed to do at work!
 
This issue will be re-visited once a new mod has been selected and finds their feet. Until that time, it's still just sitting there gathering dust.

It would be greatly appreciated if we can keep this thread to Mod selection questions from here on. :)

Unfortunately I do not have the time to give this a fair crack (and possibly to be honest with myself the knowledge).

as more an observer, rather than participant, i really think Aus DD could benefit from putting on 2 more mods now that ive noticed doctor war has stepped down. will this be the case?
 
That's part of the current selection discussions and will be decided in the next few days. It's all about coverage, and if there's an actual requirement for more than one, rather than just a desire.
 
Sykik's mephedrone thread is the goods, particularly since it is a prevelant issue that can be currently applied. Possibly one of the better contributions to AusDD this year. Good luck to those who applied.

I'm sure that will be taken into account. An important part of assessment is done through reviewing posting history.
 
I'd really like to see Mr Blonde come back, but I don't think that's gonna happen :)

I am definately with baysieguy1 in voting for psilo in the few months being a regular to this site I have found him to be one of the most informative and responsible people on these forums he gained instant respect.
 
Anarky: i really don't think mephedrone is 'a prevalent issue' at all. It's a new drug filling a void whilst the good stuff is on... holiday... and i daresay with the current spectrum of issues (customs etc) - that void would be running quite dry again.
 
How is it not a prevalent issue? Its becoming quite common now making it a prevalent issue. Even if it does die out in a year or so its still worthy of alot of talk.
