Hello Bluelighters, I am Orthodoc; new to this site. I am here to hopefully learn and to even help if I can. I have been a licensed physician for 25 years and a clinical nutritionist. lately; past ten years, I began also working/learning alternative medicine, specifically energy medicine and reiki.

TY for the warm welcome. over the years I have worked extensively with patients who have substance abuse issues and typically our results are favorable with our treatment protocols, which are not mainstream but alternative. our methods allow us to prevent withdrawal symptoms 100% in opiate addiction patients which obviously makes quitting much easier as many individuals don't quit due to the fear of the withdrawal symptoms; which can be pure hell to say the least.
 
I myself was on opiates for injuries in 2003 until 2005 and when I went to stop...yeah not so easy, so, I have experience on both sides. I again had to go through it in 2013 to 2015 for injuries again. not fun. my past experience both personal and with patients, prompted me to pursue a Diplomate course over a couple years in "Addictionology and Compulsive Disorders" in 2016. it was worth it.

so, I'm hear to learn and perhaps help if I can.
