New Member, Opiate Addict Starting Subutex Program

Hello all. I've been visiting this site frequently since I joined just a few days ago. I've battled with severe opiate addiction for the past 4 years and finally decided to seek help. Stared going to a clinic 3 days ago, they've put me on a Subutex program. My hopes are to work the program and to wean down until I am totally drug free. It's been a rough few days as the Dr is still working with me to get on a dosage that will sustain me for 24 hours. Starting today I'll be on 16mg...as the other doses I've taken (8mg and 12 mg) have only gotten me through about 12-14 hours.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and give my back story. Much love to you all, especially those of you in a similar situation.

Also, was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to be contacted when someone replies to my posts. Can you get email updates or notifications somehow??

Hello, you do get email notifications when someone replies to your post or sends a message. I too am new to this and have been on suboxone for two yrs trying to ween off of it. If you can help it try not to let them keep you on it for that long im really struggling getting off it I think more than the opiates. The mind is very powerful just gotta learn not to let it psych you out like it has me lol I'm not a dr and don't wanna tell anyone what they should do, but suboxone/subutex is a very potent drug really don't need more than 4mgs a day imo I feel worse if I take the 16mgs im prescribed.
