***snip*** A new charitable organization in shawnee kansas. Do you feel that a remote public awareness organization , providing many assisted programs. including testing of infectious diseases. such as hep A B C, hiv/aids, with medication available. Clean supplies, safe needle exchange disposal. And the main thing a Life saving dose of Naloxone to every person regardless of ability to pay. There are many other great things to offer my community. My question is do you feel that this would be a good thing for the community. Free of charge.. Basically an advocate for the opioid epidemic taking loved ones from our lives.. To offer the life saving shot, free to all. this all being done thru compassion and non judgemental public awareness. I want to offer this service. Do you feel it could be a useful public entity. please feel free to ask me any questions to better provide my services in my community

Hey chaosagent !

First of all, welcome to Bluelight :)

I feel that this this post may be lost here in NMI so I am going to move it to where it will get better visibility and responses. It's a very valid question, just one that might not get the exposure it needs here in New .Members Introduction. Good luck because it really does sound like a positive thing with great value to individuals at risk as well as society at large.

I edited out the reference to the name of the organization because we don't really recommend one institution over another or provide sources, even to recovery services.

Yes this is needed everywhere, even places with these programs need more of them. Your doing God’s work.

Actually OP if you could, I’d really love to discuss logistics with you as I myself have wanted to start a similar organization in my rural area.

When I was young and still shooting dope we had this guy who would drive around the area we lived and would give out/trade out for cleans. This is kind of what I would like to do, even if it’s only semi legal. A mobile service since most can’t make it down to a set location.

Again any advice you could give either in this thread or via PM would be most appreciated!
