I found a good thread here while using Google search and some areas of the site look helpful to me.
I have lung disease COPD and the usual med to kill the intolerable shortness of breath feelings in the later stages is time release morphine which I can't get in Central America. Weaker pain killers work but not quite as well but are my only choice if I stay here.
I have started Cold Water Extraction with codeine which is OTC and later may need that with stronger drugs.
Be glad to share any information I have and hope to learn how some of the more powerful drugs work.

Welcome to the site -CWE are great for getting rid of all the APAP that comes with the codeine, much easier on your liver that way. Just be careful with your dosing/dosage.

Thanks for the welcome & the needed advice. For now I don't need a lot of codeine but still use CWE which I have down pat. Didn't take long before there was no buzz but it still helps to kill the sense that I can't breath.

Am going step by step through your pain management stuff including your "Chronic Pain MEGA Thread" to learn how to safely use the stronger stuff.
