New Member in California.

Oh, you know the "hemp and related articles" expo is going to be at the San Bernardino NOS center Feb 8-10... that's about half way between where you are and where I am. (I got a BL modstick swat for using a brand name of a thing one time, so I'm not using the official term of the event.)

I went to the event in a Los Angeles venue a couple years ago. It would have been a LOT more fun if I'd had more money to buy a few of the amazingly cool merch they had for sale.

It's at the same time as when I need to renew my medical card, so if I can manage to get a free ticket in, I'll get my renewal there.. Last time they were doing cannabis examines and recommendation letters for a little less than regular office visits. There was no cannabis to me had at any price...

BUT....

almost all of the local dispensaries had booths and were giving coupons and having drawings for new patient special deals. I used my combined coupons, drawing winner, and other paper coupons available at the booths.

I programmed all the addresses into my GPS and came home with a healthy sak of medicine for a fraction of what it would have normally cost me.

The only thing is if they have the same promotional deals in San Bernardino, I've been to all the dispensaries in San Berdu though. I most likely wouldn't qualify for any new member discounts.

Psycle, from Ontario you could catch the Metrolink east to San Bernardino. The train station is not that close to the event center, and San Bernardino is not someplace anyone wants to get lost in, but maybe you could meet some people from our area, from here, or even from both, if you attend the convention for hemp.
 
oooh all the Cali talk is making me homesick. D: I am stuck here in Oregon but originally from Nor Cal. San Jose to be exact. I miss wearing flip flops year round. Le sigh...

Yeah Ive been to the NOS center tons of times. Mostly for Raves. And the Yearly Orange Show.
I actually lived in San Bernardino for 7 years. So I know all about it.
Feb 8-10. Hmmm... Im going to have to look into it.
I really personally need a medical marijuana card very much so.
As I have an anxiety disorder and am really tired of the medications I use for it, as they don't help.
And I know the "Good Earth" is far more healing than any laboratory pharmaceuticals.

To everyone keeping my thread alive. How awesome. I feel really welcome. Thank you, guys.
Ive made myself at home on Bluelight, and have traveled around through the various threads of my interest.
And have already had some interesting conversations.

If you decide to go to the NOS event, I'd be happy to meet and say hello in person. I'm oldthough.
I would like it a lot if 2 or 3 other BLers in the inland empire would maybe all say hi together. I don't know which day I'm going but since it is so close I'm not going to miss it. Plus maybe this year I will win one of the feckin drawings!!!

Well. I'm not sure if Im going yet. I'm extremely poor, and as such, never really get out much. I've been telling myself that I need to get out and "Do some things." And a Hemp convention would be really Plur. Especially at the Orange Show. That place is like home to me. Soo many memories there, as far back as 1999. So, "Ugly," I'm going to attempt to add you on here as a friend. So that I can get some info for the event from you. That way you wont get flagged, like you were saying, for posting it on a thread.

"StarOceanHouse" a moderator on BL, invited me to a Psychedelic Trance party, even offered to pick me up. Hey we may not all be hippies, but I love how a little bit of mind altering substances can get a person to the level of peace and love. I mean you dont have to be extreme and "Be" a Hippie, but the drugs somehow know how to make good on their promises. Well the Psychoactive kind anyway. Dont know so much about coke, meth, or heroin, as I dont really do those things hardly ever.

But what Im saying is. It is really warm in here. On Bluelight that is. Im really glad to see everyone so cheerful, and open and well, "Curious."
So I'm just going to continue to chill out on BL and well, thats that.

Thank you again everyone for giving me such a warm invite. All the responses have made me feel beyond welcome.

I am medicating as I write this.%)

I feel the exact same way about BL and I have since I the first day I came on.

I guess I'm technically a BL junky. I need it. I need to do this. It's a habit for sure.

But it's like good medicinal cannabis, too. Being on BL definitely affects my serotonin levels, alleviates pain, and can be euphoric.
 
Welcome to Bluelight. You are already meeting so many great Blers, and like everyone has already said, let us know if you need any help with our site. You are going to find that Bluelight can be very addictive, lol. :)
