Greetings,

I am 58 yr. old having survived cancer surgeries and 2 yrs of chemo starting in 11/1977. I have had many surgeries and banged my body up quite a bit, so I am familiar with pain meds and pain management. I also learned to like opiates quite a bit.

I am disability right now due to severe lower back injury. I was just prescribed Tramadol and Gabapentin in high doses for this. The 60 mgs. of Cymbalta I take each morning is not a problem, and seems to potentiate the other 2 meds. I feel pretty good right now, similar to a moderate pot + opiate buzz, very happy and calm.

I hope to learn more here and possibly help other members.

Thanks for a great site.

I'm new to this site so people please bear with me. My name is RoseAnn I am 60 yrs old. I am suffering from opiate withdrawls. I have been on Fentanyl Patches for 13 yrs. My PM Doctor is weaning me off due to the Fact that the FDA is getting on these doctors backs for prescribing them. I am on 150.mg. I also take chlonodine for the withdrawls but not helping me. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to stand through these withdrawls. Please help.

I am sorry to hear of your predicament. I would suggest Imodium, which is an OTC product and is also a weak opiate. It primarily binds with the opiate receptors in you intestines. and will lessen stomach issues like diarrhea and cramps. I would also call your Dr. and ask if he can slow the weaning process for you or even mildly increase the dose of Fentanyl until you stabilize. Another possibility is to go online and order some Kratom, and pay a bit for quick delivery. I would go with the tincture. When you do your search, use something like "Kratom with most opiate-like qualities". The extracts or tinctures of this Kratom should also help you.

I have been there and have suffered greatly. I wish you well and hope this helps.

Let me welcome both of you to the site :)

We have a sober living section where people will be able to advise you about withdrawals and alternatives etc and you can find that section here
