Hello all, happy to become a new bluelight member. Any tips, hints, suggestions about how to use the site would be appreciated. Simple question. For someone with a high tolerance to Oxycodone and has a lot of experience with opiates the person's tolerance has gone up, we all know how this works. The individual used to do 80 mg one time dose, and can't even feel this anymore. They have been gradually upping the dose with caution. But the individual feels as though they have been wasting the pills, and the pain management place only prescribes once a month, so wasting is not a good thing. Anyway, the person is probably going to stop gradually upping the dose and go right to 150mg one time dose of Oxycodone. (He's around a 100mg dose now, with little effect) For a person who has experience and a tolerance, and everything else previously mentioned, the individual is looking for anyone else who has experience with a Oxycodone 150mg dose. Is this a common dose (for a high dose)? Is there a horrible hangover? Safe? Personal experiences and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Remember: The individual is asking about Oxycodone, so there is no concern about acetametaphin poisoning. Also, "common," " high," "safe" are all pretty general terms. The person is smart, and has common sense so lets not waste any time covering the objectivity of whether or not something is safe, we all (hopefully) have a good grasp on what we are talking about. So, personal experiences and answers to the questions would be great. Also, we are talking about a big individual. About 375 lbs. Any help is greatly appreciated. Shit, almost forgot. Anyone experienced taking 1mg or so of Klonopin with the 150mg Oxy? Personal experience with that and/or advice/feedback with that would be great. Again, a lot of experience with benzos and a high tolerance. The person knows that's pushing it, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks so much! Happy to be a new member!!!

Hi and welcome :)

I'm moving this to Basic Drug Discussion since this is a rather basic question.

Using "my dog" or any similar term is not allowed on Bluelight. Your thread will most likely get closed if you do not edit it.

This is kind of a weird question...

The answers pretty obvious you've been through this before haven't you? when you were going up to 80mgs your tolerance was probably lower when you first started oxycodone.

If you take 150mgs you will get high like when you used to do an 80 to get high it shouldn't be too much different in terms of side effects but now since your tolerance has gone up you need to do more to achieve the effects you want. 150mgs is a high dose to do at once but once you do that for a while the same thing will happen eventually you will need 200mgs to achieve the high you want Then 300mgs and so on and so forth.

And yes ive done that amount of oxy at once even though it really is pointless to ask us if we have done 150mgs ourselves because our tolerance may be different doing that dose could kill one person but the next might not even hardly feel high. All your doing is chasing the same high you first felt doing a whole oxy 80 at once but you will need to keep going up and up in dose in order to relive those effects over and over until you go insane trying to recreate it with extremely high doses.
If your tolerance is high you should feel the same as how you usually do when high on oxy. Over time you will notice withdrawl symptoms get really bad and you need to do more oxy each day to keep well usually more times a day, you may have to do oxy every couple hours to feel normal. My tolerance was up to 600mgs a day or so then I had to switch over to heroin and it was hell its all you live for. The problem is our brain develops tolerance faster than our bodies do so you may need 100+ mgs to get your dopamine levels spiked and that comfy feeling but your lungs are having a hard time breathing because even though your brain thinks it needs high doses your respitory system still hasn't caught up tolerance wise so the chance of OD get higher and higher the bigger doses you need. Its best to take breaks from the oxy then return if you keep going up then bad things will happen.

frankly the respiratory depression seems to slow down in progress as you get higher and higher oxycontin seems to be a little more forgiving in that department from my experience (at my peak was using about 2 grams a day - lucky to have survived frankly)

if i were you seriously consider quitting now before you die, it landed me in a great deal of trouble many times, had to face rehab to finally get off that hell/nightmare of a drug the psychological grip it had on me was frankly the worst I've ever experienced i literally cried when i had it taken away from me sometimes...

Tolerance is KEY

One of the more facinating things about opiates is the role tolerance plays in whether or not a dose is too high for someone- where 150 mg of oxycodone would likely kill even a 300 lb man, the same for yourself wouldnt be true simply because of your body's tolerance to the substance. I weigh 130 dripping wet and was taking 120 mgs roxycet, heroine and anything else opoid related i could get daily and similarly, found my ability to handle them deminish rapidly with long term use. Ive also seen friends take 1mg of suboxone and nearly OD because of the flawed thinking that since I was prescribed 16mgs a day at the low weight I am, then they should be able to handle ot no prob.....not the case at all. With all opioids\opiates tolerance is KEY. Youll be just fine at a higher dose, although your dependence will begin to be impossible to curb if\when youre ready to kick it. Good luck my friend, and be careful!

Why mess with your tolerance too much, its already up to 100mgs......you should up it by 20mgs each time.

But as mentioned above, you may get real high by going up a bit or you may not feel anything, who knows but be careful my friend, its gonna be an expensive habit even tho you have a script.

I've read where some people got their tolerance up to 600 to 700mgs, that's insane! That's almost (10) Oxy 80's

Are you taking Oxycodone for pain, pleasure or both?

i got the tolerance up to 2 grams a day for recreational use and seriously it nearly killed me many times

yeah it is.. very lucky to be alive and breathing frankly.

went to rehab for 5 weeks used 200ml of methadone (hardly scratched it but made it somewhat bearable after 3-4 days) reduced to 0 by 3 weeks and actually was quite smooth. forever grateful for getting off that shit. nearly ruined my life. fuck nearly ruined many lives and continues to wreak havoc

Zombie 24--

Oxycodone hcl comes in 80mg T at the highest. Not sure how you are getting this 150mg, unless it's a combination of different strengths. First of all, opiate prescribing has nothing to do with BMI--Body Mass Index. NOTHING. So, you can be a small person of 100lbs, or a large person of 400lbs--and with the same tolerance level, it will not matter.

What does matter, is saturation of your opiate receptors. You can be severely tolerant--and keep going, with more and more--and when the opiate receptors are flooded, your organs, and breathing just shut down. Your receptors only take so much--no matter what your 'tolerance"

Ahh..Benzo's..love them. Nothing like truly relaxation like nothing else. They will potentiate the Oxy--but serious respiratory depression needs to be a serious concern
