Please be very careful with xanax withdrawal and do not just stop taking them cold turkey. If you have a serious habit then you really need to taper as just stopping can lead to seizures and can kill. (more detailed information can be found in Sober Living)

Welcome aboard, as Bearlove rightly pointed out, you need to taper off your Xanax rather than stop it abruptly and risk seizures.
