First of all, I realize that a Dr would be better suited to help me right now. But putting that aside, here's the situation.
I'm a long time opiate lover. I've been on hydrocodone and oxycodone pretty consistently for a couple years now. I consider my tolerance to be pretty high. I could take 20-25 mgs of oxy and feel pretty good, it would alleviate my pain, give me a good high. Some intense nausea sometimes.
I had major abdominal surgery 4 days ago. Was rx'd 5 mg oxy. Was taking 4-6 for pain every 4 hours or so.
Today I was given a slow release morphine. Took it, followed by 25 mg oxy, it was taken for blinding pain. 3 hours later I woke from a nap in pain and didn't realize it had only been 3 hours, I took 25mg more oxy. (So a total of 50 mgs oxy. I think the morphine is a 30 mg slow release)
That was about 2 hours ago.
Should I be worried about overdose? How long would it take to see signs of overdose?
thank you in advance for any tips. I'm afraid to go to sleep right now, but so tired after a long painful day.

Hey campinfinity, welcome to BL.

My homie HOOD gave some sound advice but when I was moving this thread I misclicked and I can't chuck his post on this thread now :( but he did say:

That's not that large of a tolerance or dose.. you'll be ok.
Get some sleep, some rest may help the pain go down a bit.

This should belong in BDD (or wherever a mod sees fit) maybe a mod will move it when they get a chance.

Goodluck and hope you get well soon oh and BTW
WELCOME TO BLUELIGHT! :)

So surely you're gonna be alright :) But in future it is important to find out what is safe and acceptable levels and what isn't. In case of real emergencies, when you think something bad is gonna go down, don't be afraid to contact an ambulance because it could save your life. <3

If it's two hours after dose and you are still conscious you probably aren't in danger of overdose. 20-25 mg oxy for a recreational dose is actually on the low side of tolerance (that's about what I take). I've been on this site for nearly three years and I've met tons of people who routinely take 10 times that much. Every day.
