Downers were always my vice of choice; opioids at best, benzos at the very least. Just about everyone I know (or used to know before I had to make the decision to stay away from everyone who uses drugs, rather) uses cocaine those. Its all over Dublin (and Ireland in general) - god help anyone trying to get away from that stuff. My experience with it is very minimal. I understand theres no physical withdrawal, but what are the psychological withdrawals like? Is there a lot of depression involved? Zero motivation? How long would that last?

Also, have you ever tried to quit?

Quit massive coke habit broken by removing myself from any influence, people, places and situations. A complete break, 3 mts in a foreign country where I knew no one helped. Always found it primarily psychological, physical was secondary. Used alcohol and dope to get me through the harshest times at first.Then something else to get me through that, etc., but it worked. Took me years to forget all those addictive conditions and It still required discipline not to think about it. It's a constant discipline but the pull of the thinking fades in time. Yes, the will is the way.

Now i don.t think about it except on occasion, in passing. Like something I.d rather not do again. But there;s almost the addictive self has been tamed, by decades long denial, so I still do a bit of whatever when it fits the situation, and have no problem with that.

Writing errors indicates under the influence of downers. :-)

Dublin too, but London/US supply, 80's and 90's.

I remember doing coke in the 80s when it was good. Never had an urge for a drug last for years but that one did. Loved it.
 
Hard to forget. Had 99% Peruvian for a long time in 80's and 90's. Basing it was the last straw.

Doing some downers now. Also waiting on some cubensis spores.
