New, lots of questions, want to know about long term use

SURGICAL scripts renewed monthly are meant to help manage chronic sever pain; no end in sight. Anyone else in same boat? Tried to taper off several times, end up deabilitated in pain and playing catch-up until pain is under control again. Tired of feeling stoned. Worst offender: Temazepam.
