Hi....I'm new here. I stumbled on the site when debating with my boyfriend whether or not to heat cocaine before shooting it. Still unsure, but glad I found the site.

It shouldn't be necessary to heat cocaine as it is water soluble (unless it's in the forum of crack). Heating for a short amount of time is not going to sterilise it either, so the general consensus is don't heat shots (unless you need to if you're converting heroin or cocaine freebase to a water soluble salt). It's especially important not to heat pills, as this causes poorly soluble filler/binder to dissolve into your shot, and you really don't want that in your veins as it can cause both vein and lung damage.. the same goes for any poorly soluble cuts in your cocaine. Yeah i always used to take my shots cold, had a buddy who insisted on heating it though not sure why
