Greetings. Here is the gist of my story. I am a young student in a very intense program that has required endless hours on a weekly basis. A "Friend" recently introduced me to meth for the first time during sex and I had a great time with it. I have used it once since to help me crank out a paper that was on the verge of being past due. I have always feared interacting with any sort of drug because of the risk of addiction and what that could mean for my health. I have many questions and will be searching for answers about how to maintain safety while also trying to avoid becoming addicted to the stuff. Any support and guidance that anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated. Hopeful, also, that I might learn new things that could benefit me, constantly in search of new perspectives on complex things.

I am an occasional user of meth. For me meth doesn't pose a high risk of addiction because after a couple of days of use I seem to hit a wall where I can no longer achieve the high. Obviously tolerance and lack of sleep play a part. No matter how much I do I can't get to that place therefore it is easy to stop and take a long break. I can only speak for myself obviously but that's my two cents. But remember meth is extremely neurotoxic. And many do get extremely addicted to that high and continuously chase it. Drug induced psychosis is very real and very scary. Please be careful and find what works for you.

I'd like to add that I'm an iv heroin user. I am very much so addicted to that and with out it I am depressed and very physically ill. So I am not saying I am immune to addiction! Simply do not struggle with addiction to meth.

Please tread lightly. You are doing your research which is good. More than many. I just don't think you will find the answer you want. There isn't a trick to not get addicted. I'm a heroin addict and a damn needle junkie. I fucking love puting a needle in my arm. Simple as that. I hope you are cautious and don't unleash the beast that is IV drug use. Stick to eating or snortining it if you decide you want to keep using it.
