I started using drugs as a way to experiment with my mind and I still do for that reason. However, now with certain classes of drugs such as opioids and benzodiazepines I use them for the positive effects they produce since I am now well aware of how they interact on my mind. I am still intrigued by hallucinogens and other yet unexplored drugs as a way to experiment with their effects to further understand their mechanism of action. I am a philosophical kind of person who thoroughly enjoys the "deep-sea diving" into my own mind that hallucinogens tend to precipitate. I consider myself a wise poly-drug user.
At this point in my life I have used the following substances for recreational and/or experimental purposes, most of them on more than one occasion:
Hydrocodone
Oxycodone
Hydromorphone
Diacetylmorphine
Tramadol
Buprenorphine
Methadone
Diphenoxylate
Kratom
Alprazolam
Clonazepam
Etizolam
Flurazepam
Zolpidem
Cocaine
Amphetamine mixed salts
Methylphenidate
Cannabis
Alcohol
LSD
Salvia divinorum
Dextromethorphan
Diphenhydramine
Cyclobenzaprine
Hydroxyzine
Mirtazapine
Kava
I know a couple of them cannot truly be considered recreational, such as Cyclobenzaprine (simply put me to sleep or in an extremely fatigued state) Hydroxyzine (was hoping for at least a slight recreational value). The Buprenorphine also was not for recreational purposes as I was prescribed Suboxone for some time, but it does synergize well with benzodiazepines. I do not recommend this to persons without a tolerance to both those classes of drugs, however. The Diphenhydramine and Mirtazapine were both used at doses high enough to produce hallucinogenic effects. Before utilizing any of the above substances I did sufficient research to determine a safe yet effective dose and at the same time I enjoy reading up on and learning about drugs of all kinds. I believe I have experience and maybe some slight wisdom to share with the community here as well as the ability to use it as a resource.
