Bluelight's Adoption Programme . Your adopter will help you with all sort of things such as how to create an avatar, edit your profile, knowledge re site etc or will be a friend/ form of support. If you feel that this is something that may be of interest to you, simply reply to the thread expressing your interest and someone will get back to you.

A lot of newbies find
New Members Introductions (NMI) Social Thread useful as it's a way of meeting members from across the site; both Bluelighters and Greenlighters. It's a fun thread where people have a good laugh and a banter.
I would also advise you to read the
Greenlighter's Guide and the rules known as
BLUA (Bluelight User Agreement) because they protect us members as well as the site. For instance; one of the rules is no sourcing, if a member had not read the rules and discusses sourcing, then they may receive a warning or whatever, and if they had have read the rules, they would have avoided receiving, eg a warning.
