new drug?

has anyone heard of a drug called base? a friend of mine was in london for a few months and came across this drug. she said it was really speedy and negative. what was it??

I think 'base' (at least in London) probably refers to amphetamine.

out here in cali "base" ususally refers to smoking crack. like in the movie Poetic Justice with 2pac and janet jackson it in, when 2pac is all mad bout his babys momma "basin" in the other room while his baby is out in the living room, unattended, and all while after her basin shes like all bout to fuck some fool while 2pac and his baby are there. lol. annnnyways......haha peace

"base" in london refers to strong amphetamine usually around 30-45%, instead of 5-15% for normal speed.

go-ee is right, in the UK base is stronger than what we buy as speed, in addition base is usally sold as a wet paste which can be dried to a powder. Compared to speed which is always sold as a powder.

thanks for all the replies. im guessing by the responses it was some kind of amphetamine. and to clarify, i didn't mean to say the drug was negative, its just that my friend and her boyfriend bickered constantly while high, as if it brought out all the negative aspects of their personalities, so it was kinda negative for them.
