Hi BL, I've been a long time lurker (talking since around 2010) I have become familiar with several of the 'personalities' around here (FUBAR, helping out, chemically enhanced, ions you guys are some of my fav's). As for myself, I'm a male, soon to turn 40 and live in the STL. I have a pretty solid 7-OH habit at the moment and occasionally drink; but other than that I do not partake in much else...am considering accessing a DNM for some stim drug like meth or coke (as those have been my DOC). My hobbies are reading, shooting, bowhunting and fishing, frisbee golf, skateboarding, and I would love to get into surfing but my locale doesn't help me with that...Anyways, I refistered to join the conversation in harm reduction and politics and to just hear others' perspectives. I would be interested in knowing if there are any other BLers in the STL area.

it is a very laid back sport, in which you thrown a frisbee into a basket that has draping metal chains above it, that serves as the hole (as in real golf). so very similar ti real golf, in that each hole has varying terrain that alters the difficulty. I highly recommend this sport to just about anyone, best of all pretty much all ‘courses’ are free!

Whats Up Hello GIF
I miss frisbee golf ,use to play it in Morro Bay

It always seems like active people like you prefer stimulants. It makes perfect sense, obviously. I wonder if people who prefer downers more often prefer indoor activities like arts and crafts and video games etc. or if it’s pretty even. Oh yeah and welcome!

I love things like reading, drawing, watching TV or listening to music. So yeah I enjoy spending time at home. But at the same time I've always been one for the great outdoors, mountain hiking, swimming, horse riding etc. I've also always been very sporty.

I don't react well to stimulants at all, but I love opiates.
I think it's rather to do with individual brain chemistry and how you react to a particular substance, than what activities you prefer. 🤷🏻

Oh yes went to Morro Bay High School, parents bought a house.I moved then moved back a few times.I still have mothers house and spend about 3 months a year there. My uncles live in Cambria, now that town has my heart.
That’s so cool. My mom brought me to Morro rock a couple times when I was a little kid lol

Been out of town for a few days, so delayed response here...thanks for the welcomes. Yes I am pretty active, so prefer stims, but are increasingly hard to obtain for me. Gonna try and get a adderall script from my gp perhaps. Have been taking 7-OH, for lack of anything else to obtain, and its kinda a horror story for my experience with it...so calling it quits with it.

Welcome but I'm a little confused about where you are from "live in the STL"?
Nonetheless glad you are here, have you tried scuba diving? I got my open water certificate when I turned 70 but had to give it up because of back injury

I am from St Louis, Missouri...no real open water to scuba near me; although I was considering taking it up. There is a place called Bonne Terre Mine in Missouri; which is an old abandoned mine shaft that has been flooded with crystal clear water that many ppl get their cert at here.

I am prone to stims too but primarily psychedelics, it's just my thing. never got into depressants or downers. probably why drinking wasn't my thing. it's interesting what gets people off some go the high road while others take the low road. Personally, I like the colorful road

Yes, I have a kinda checkered past with a lot of substances; weed is basically a 'no go' for me could smoke it around high school age but anymore just induces lots of paranoia. Havent touched psychedelics in over 20 years, afraid they will just open the floodgates to a lot of bad thoughts....really am in a dire straights around here for things I can obtain, might have to try a dnm soon.
