new bud tastes like fuel or wd40, could it be sour- d?

this new bud smells like some kind of chemicals or gas er something, its dank ass weed and has trichomes abound. i just smoked two hits and im stoned as hell so its good but this smell/taste is a little disconcerting, we pretty much came to the consensus that its just the strain and that it was not sprayed with wd40(as it would be flammable even though non flammable wd40 exists). i just wake n' baked and no side effects, no headaches or anything like that. i think im ok i just want to know if anyone has run in to this before.

oh also i couldnt find out the strain which is usually not the case, i usually know the strain but this time it came with a ?
