Well let's see..

As my username already says; I'm unnie. I'm an opiate addict from Finland,
and have lived my life in this country except for a few years in the Netherlands
and Belgium. I was born in the year 1984, wich makes me 26 years old at this time.
I've been reading Bluelight-posts for a long time already, but now I decided to register - finally :)

I just got word and results, that I have NOT got Hep C - even though I was almost 100% sure I did carry it. This is good news.

I would be delighted to answer any questions you people might have just about anything.

P.S. I have my first child due 9.2.2011! :) I'm at the best part of my life, even though i now have had buprenorphine in my veins for God only knows how long and other opiates/opioids.

Now I have to go. I hope someone read this :)
 
I figured I might as well use the same thread, as my life goes hand in hand with his. So, hi, I'm his fiancée, you may call me May. I'm the mother of his unborn child, currently on 20th pregnancy week, and unfortunately I also am an opioid addict. I'm from Finland (as expected), 24-years-old, also recently tested to be completely disease-free. Unlike him with his double-digit years of experience, I'm rather new at all this, used intravenously for a bit over a year or so, and my first and so far only target of addiction being buprenorphine. Majority of those who represent this lifestyle consider me just as an innocent sweetheart who doesn't belong with people like them. Still, here I am. Due to my pregnancy I just started getting treatment for my addiction, nothing concrete yet, still going through the options.

Never heard of this site before, but I guess I had to join now that he did as well. ;)

I can totally empathise with you both,i too used to be an opiate addict but turned my life around many years ago,1997 to be precise.
Buprenorphine seems to be the treatment these days,for me it was Methadone and then Dihydrocodiene.I hope you both find all the help you can here to overcome your addictions and i wish you well with your baby,may your life transform for the better,with experience comes wisdom.

I also lived in Finland (suomi) for a short time in 2000,i stayed in Kaarina near Turku and Rauma,and also in Torneo in Lappi.Finland is an amazing country.
