Hi,
I suffer chronic pain due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, fibromyalgia and neurogenic TOS. I also have ADD, some depression.
I take pain meds, diazepam, baclofen, meds for stomach (ironically due to RA/pain meds). A few nights ago, my pain level was 10+. Therefore I took extra to get some relief. Afterwards, I don't remember much. When I woke I was anxious, felt as though I was outside of my body looking in, emotional and indecisive; I was a mess. Question for you all: what do you think I experienced?

Hi, Welcome to Bluelight!

I can't say for sure, as I don't know your history. How are you now?

I personally have had moments of depersonalization and/or out of body experiences where I could see myself beneath me on the bed. I am sorry you are in so much pain. The experience could be a combination of meds and underlying issues that produce extreme stress. I've heard some studies about GPS cells being involved with this in the brain involving spatial organization.

Anyways, We have a The Pain Management Megathread (Chronic and Acute Pain Discussion) v6 you might be interested in. We might have an OBE thread somewhere if you search it. :)

Do you mind if I move your post to The Dark Side or Mental Health? Or even Basic Drug Discussion?
