I'm very curious about researching new antidepressants that are on the horizon. I'm looking for any upcoming AD's no matter how many years it may be till they are seen on the market.

Please include links or article text of anything you may of read about an upcoming antidepressants.

I hope this was the place to post this. Im working on a very large paper for my degree. I need a place to start. Simply the names of antidepressants In trial periods would be very benefitial

I know there are quite a few french antidepressants that we do not have access to. They work too well, and seem to be really effective, but the jerks at the FDA deemed them to make people too happy, and god almighty, we can't have that.
The manufacturer is Servier. I think it is just that Eli Lily, Pfizer, Glaxo Smith et al have a strangle hold on the market.

These seem to work really well, especially on treatment resistant depression and recovering addicts.

Survector( Tricyclic dopamine reuptake inhibitor), Tianine(similar to prozac but REDUCES serotonin), and they also have one that is melatonergic (Agomelatine). Supposed to regulate sleep.

Vilazodone is a new one, just approved by the FDA this January. It's an SSRI / 5-HT1A partial agonist.

Off topic, can those French drugs be legally obtained in the US?
