New and trying to quit klonopin 6 years

I've been on klonopin for 6 years I went off cold turkey in jail about a year ago off of 1mg 3xday. 37 days of absolute living hell I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I got out and no doctors believed I was in withdrawal, I lost 49 pounds couldn't walk felt like I was in a dream and my heart non stop racing just a few WDs I was having. Finally a doctor seen what was going on and put me on 0.5 3xday and I am currently on that and am good and fine but my doc wants me off as I'm on subs now for H addiction, I think this is a recipe for disaster but what choice do I have lol... so any expirenxe and advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!!

I've done it after just as much if not more time as a daily user. Like you the only time I was benzo free were the months I was in jail.

Clonzepam withdrawals when you've used this long will last months if not years. I still feel anxious throughout the day, and smoking weed brings on full on panic attacks as if I can't breathe or feel as though I'm dying... And I used to love weed, before and during my benzo using days. :/

But it is for the better. You're on a low enough dose that seizures aren't much of a concern, but why don't you start by breaking the.5 mg pills in half, and just taking g a half once daily? After doing this a few weeks it'll be easier to jump off.

I'm on sub's too, good luck & welcome to BL. I do feel that you'll be better off w/o it. you can do it, if I did it I promise you'll be okay.

The doctor literally said I was going to die if I didn't go back on benzos as I wouldn't move and couldn't to eat or anything for 36 days until I was dosed. I just was wondering if there is any other way to come off k pins without the depersonalization and derralization I cannot take it it makes me suicidal. I've been on it for 6 years since I was 16. I almost killed myself in jail multiple times because of the withdrawal I was hullicinating and they all thought I was crazy. I'm actually very normal and intelligent. When I was put back on kpin my help was lifted.
