Hello just announcing i created a new account that i plan on using after the new year. I am going back to a variation of my original name, way|0st .

Also on my first attempt i messed up creating the account wayl0st as i didnt put my correct email address so i cant verify the account.

Not sure if i had to announce this or not. Thanks

If an incorrect address is in an account and you have the password you can change the email address. The rules on alts as explained in the greenlighters guide is that you can start a new account provided you don't use the old one.

How do I change my Screen Name (SN), Login Name, User ID, or Email?

When you register, you create your Screen Name (SN), which is also refrered to as a Login Name or User ID. At the time you create this you are deciding what name all the other members will know you as and how they will refer to you. If you later decide you would like to change this name you will need to re-register with a new account.

If you choose to register a new name, you should abandon the earlier login name as per the Bluelight User Agreement (BLUA) which prohibits multiple login names (aka alter-egos). Do not register a second account just to harass another member.

If you want to use the exact same email address for your next account, you will have to edit the profile of the old account. The system is dependent on one email address per SN. Go to "User CP" at the top, then click the tab for "EDIT PROFILE" and change that email address to a less used email address (you might even use a bogus address, since you won't need that account anymore). Then you can use your preferred email address when registering the new account.

If you need to change your email address, just follow the procedure outlined above. The system will send an email to the new account to let you know that it was changed.

thanks for the reply . before you used to have to wait for someone to do something to ur account after activation (a mod would do something after waiting a day or something) and then you could post? i dint see this but i cannot post in the lounge with this account. something i'm missing yes? or i stll have to wait?





Way|0st, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Yep, fizzle explained a while back that they were trying out reserving the lounge til someone is a Bluelighter.

Correct, recently we've decided to try some new things out to try and make the lounge a bit less harsh of a place, and one of those ways is by not allowing postings from GLrs, so you cannot post in there until you have reached 50 posts. This isnt because all greenlighters cause a problem, because 99% of them dont, but its to prevent alts of trolls and temp banned users from showing up there over and over. It also allows newcomers to get an idea and a feel for the lounge before posting there, so they dont get scared away haha.

Hmm... I dont know... you may need to ask for input from some other people on that one (admin or lounge mods or both). I see that causing some problems. Not from you necessarily, but down the line if other people try and do the same thing...

Here is a non-spamming way to quickly get to 50 Way|0st, well not super quick but a fast way without posting noise. Greet a good # folks in NMI, just read their posts and say something encouraging or ask them a question about their interests. Post in the one word thread in TDS. Run through Second Opinion where a lot of threads are a pulse taking of how people feel about something cultural or matters of taste and give opinions. Hit the Pet Peeves thread while you are there. Look in BDD and Drug Culture for threads where you know something or have a relevant take.

If you like music, games, TV or films the arts & entertainment section of Bluelight has many threads where you can give an honest short answer. I think in not that much time you could post 50 authentic and relevant posts.

I better include P&S as I'm encouraging relevant but slightly drive by posting here. How do you want to die? ,When did you become you?,What words of wisdom never fail to remind you that everything's going to be OK?, Do you believe in the signs of the Zodiac? and Is it always wrong to blame the victim? are examples of threads that one could post a non-spammy sincere sentence or two and be on your way. You might find that posting in the non-lounge forums is actually a fairly OK way to pass the time.

I'm not suggesting that you post without reading the last couple posts within a thread or the first post though, Its best to read the first and the last couple at minimum.

^All perfect suggestions, and ones you may need to use. I've asked about your request in staff and its been decided (and I agree with this decision) that you'll need to just choose an account and stick with it. We cant start allowing people to be posting with multiple accounts. It was your decision to get a new account, so you will just have to take the bad with the good.
