So I took 24 milligrams of subutex which i realize now is a bad idea but i never thought it could be like this. Its been 6 full days since i took it, and it was a one time thing im not taking it regularly. So now after 6 days, i still can't seem to feel any amount of oxycodone. Most frustrating thing ever. Im guessing it was from the amount, but I'm wandering if anyone knows when this madness might end. Right not i feel like it will never be gone...

Yeah buprenorphine is a notoriously long-acting opiate, although it ordinarily would only stay with a person for so long if they had a serious bupe habit. So I'm suprised that this has happened to you.

Just wait until you start to feel like you're in withdrawal or alternatively like you're sobering up. All other opiates will be wasted until then.

The half-life can be as long as 70 hours in some people and the full blockade begins after 2-4mg so you could still have over 6mg in your system 6 days later if I'm understanding this correctly (although I just woke up).

Thanks for the input.

The fact that you managed to take 24mgs without getting sick means you had a nice opiate tolerance going for you. Even if you were completely opiate free for six days -meaning you didn't take bupe with it's long ass half life -you'd still have some tolerance left. Lowering tolerance takes weeks, often times months.
