NEUROTINS

hey man first of all loose the caps, DAMN!
And I think you mean neuroNtin not neurotin...ive tried the drug before in a medium and high dose. it was really no enjoyable....it makes u feel pretty crappy actually. the drug is meant *ive read on rxlist* for bringin someone out of a seizure.
Suggesting doses to someone is not safe....but my highest dose *I'm a small girl 5'6 105 lbs* was 400 mgs of it.....though i was tend to go overboard with everyone....just use lowest dose...work uself up from that.....though this drug isnt worth shit to begin with.....get some xanax or klonopin that will fuck u up. this neurontin is just CRAP!
 
Well this thread is going to get closed pretty fucking soon but before it does I want to say all the information I have seen online about it suggests absolutely no recreational potential and most people who have tried it seem to feel the same way.
However, i did have a friend who claimed it caused significant euphoria (at least when taken with like 5 other psychiatric drugs). Wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

sorry about the caps. I have done nuerontins and have felt euphoric, but only at high dose. 11 300mg capsules. I have also gotten a nice body feel, but a lil head ache too.

dont ask me why, but when taken already on an ssri the effects are funner for me
except fuck 400mg, try about 2400-3000 (some people can tolerate up to 9000)
- well actually dont try that, cause i have no clue if that would be safe for everyone

Neurontin is in no way a recreational drug. It's used to treat several psychological and even a few physical disorders. It could very well make you feel "different" or "weird", but it will NOT make you feel good. It effects GABA reuptake and has some mood stabilizing qualities, blocks pain receptors, and has mild anti-depressant and anti-anxiety qualities.
While it's vastly different from SSRI's, it should be looked at as something of an equivellent.
DO NOT TAKE NEURONTIN FOR FUN.
 
hmm, neurontin isnt really recreational. im perscribed it, and do find it to do something, namely, put me in a dreamlike-yet-awake state if i take like 1.5g. lesser doses, and it does relax you a bit. nothing to benzos, though.
anyone saying how it works is likely wrong, its pretty mysterious. its basically the active groups of gaba attatched to a cyclohexane... weird chemistry to say the least. theres no consensus on its activity.
but, yea, if youre asking, its not recreational.
 
Drugs aren't non-recreational by fiat! If some people get euphoric effects then it is recreational for them. Though certainly it is never going to match a major narcotic.

Gabapentin has been approved for the treatment of neuropathic pain in six European countries, New Zealand and Australia, and numerous countries in Latin America. I was never claiming it was recreational in and of itself but drug interactions are strange and bizarre so a combination of non-fun medications could certainly be enjoyable. Hell maybe this thing has some significant interaction with benzos.

hehe i dont care what anyone says if i know what it does to me - i take a lot (2400mg approx) and i get a pleasant buzz and slight mood lift. it's not by any means strong like an opiate but it has it's subtle qualities
 
calciulm channel activity is something.. but not previously documented in literature to my knowledge... could work same way as benzos via changing 'charge'. but i guess well see.
all the same, 400mg is one pill. people take like 5g a day.. five grams of shit is something to be ingesting... as is the 2.4g star mentioned. its expensive shit w/o insurance, also. im pretty sure it affects hgh along the same lines as g, something to consider.

People that get high off of Neurontin and pharms of that nature are the same people who roll on those Arrows or Christmas tree pills... lol.
It's entirely placebo and has nothing to do with the drug they're taking itself.
