I foolishly took a 10 op this morning then a 10 methadone later that afternoon I got really anxious and took 2 milligrams of xanax now I'm scared to sleep... any thoughts
 
Here's a thought, don't take xanax when you're already on two highly potent opioid narcotics, you know that this combination kills many people every year.

It seems like you're aware that what you did was wrong, so other than wondering why you would do so anyways, I suppose you could describe how your breathing is, is it depressed? Have you thrown up? Any trouble staying conscious?

Are you tolerant to opioids? benzodiazepines?
 
I have a very high tolerence or benzos been on them for 12 years and I wasn't aware of the xanax methadone leathal combo until I was reading about methadone this being the first time I took it no vomitting I seem to be breathing fine I made a mistake you seem very rude but informal so please give me the info I need
 
As long as you are not nodding off and you're breathing is fine, I'd say your benzo tolerance has kept you from a potentially lethal combination, I'd stay awake for another hour to let the drugs metabolize out of your bloodstream, and count this as a lesson learned. I don't think tricomb was tryna be rude, but rather show you this is a serious issue as it can be a potentially lethal combo.
 
Well I feel shitty enough not sick wise just mentally I have verry bad anxiety. So when it comes to nerve medication I'm quick to take it I hurt back and a buddy
 
The op at 10 am with a half a xanax.. the methadone at about 4 pm I took a half a xanax with that and I took full 1 milligram xanax about an hour ago
 
So you took the oxycodone about 13 hrs ago, the methadone about 7 hrs ago, and the alprazolam (Xanax) about an hour ago? And you have a high tolerance to benzos, are feeling fine, your breathing is not shallow and you aren't sick or passing out or anything? I would say it's probably fine to go to sleep.
 
Ok thanks I'm still gonna stay up a few more hours to be on the safe side.... a dumb stupid mistake by me... thanks a lot for everyones input
 
its now 1 am here I'm very tired gonna go to bed now I'm yawning which I think is a good sign imma say a prayer and hope for the best.

The info you need? I'm not being rude, I'm taking a serious matter very seriously. I just have a hard time understanding how anyone "accidentally" mixes such strong CNS depressants. You're very lucky that this worked out in your favor, you could have died. It's important to be educated about the substances you put in your body including any drug interactions.

I wish you the best and that you sleep through the night, please come back and update us in the morning so we know you're okay.
 
Let us know and I hope it turns out okay for you. In the future, ask questions here first before dosing and you can avoid situations like this.
