NEMD GAME: guess the album cover

heh, i'm pretty sure i recognised it straight away, but i can't find a corresponding album cover. oh wait, found it! i'm gonna leave it for someone else though. :)

i was never that into them at the time, but a couple of mates used to inflict them on us with their ghetto blasters at full volume... as if they needed any more distortion, hehe.

i'll post an excellent & hilarious youtube interview with them when someone gets it. (without derailing the thread of course... ;))

"The album is considered to be a landmark recording, frequently appearing in "best-ever" album lists, such as Q magazine's list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever, where it placed at number 88 in 2000"

bloody hell. that's surprising. (implication: it's shit. ;))

another clue: the band were formed by two brothers who were always fighting and arguing.

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy

I had to google "100 Greatest British Albums Q Magazine" to figure it out, lol. The only JM Chain album I've ever heard is Darklands.

If JMC is a Scottish, then why are they in the British list?

I guess it's due to the location of the label?

From their Wiki..

The Jesus and Mary Chain are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in East Kilbride, Glasgow in 1983.

well, if you know it, post up the original!

yes it is.

in my opinion, the second best album after DMS, even though it's a collection of B-sides and stuff. a mediocre Suede B-side is still better than most other artists' A-sides (even Suede themselves sometimes, hah).

*goes searching for a Suede thread* :)
