Hello all, brand new to bluelight. Have read many forums and love the community here.

I recently picked up some piracetam and alpha-gpc in hopes of bringing back the 'magic' of mdma for a couple of my friends who have done copious amounts in their lifetime. I felt I needed to post this because I can find no experience on the internet that is similar to this negative one. Feedback on this situation would be greatly appreciated as i'm currently tending to this friend of mine as I write this.

Experience:
7:00pm
-Weighed out 3500mg of piracetam with 1200 mg of alpha-gpc for this friend. Consumed approximately 1 hr before consumption of 200 mg of mdma with 2 daily vitamins. (Mdma is from reliable source. Taken on 2 Previous occasions. Quite pure mdma moonrocks tested clean for mdma.) This friend is female/18yo and usually takes upwards of half a gram in a night.

-I consumed the same amount of all substances and must say I had a very good roll.

8:30 pm
-I lost contact with friend at the rave. She appeared to be rolling and having a good time.
3:30am
I met up with her later at a kickback approximately 7 hrs after initial dose of mdma. She appeared normal, could hold conversations, no obvious negative reactions at this point.

3:45 am
-Split one last point with her at about 7 hrs after initial dose and proceeded to 'whip our cream' with nitrous oxide for about an hour. Everything seemed normal, I decide to go to bed.

Everything after this point Is from what her boyfriend told me.

5:45 am
-Approximately 2 hrs after splitting the last point with her, she becomes nauseous and throws up 3x in the course of an hr. Claims she is rolling super hard now. She attempts to fall asleep after rolling for another hr. Doesn't recall if she even slept.
I recieve a phonecall at about 5:00 pm that day. Her boyfriend is telling me she has been stuck in loops since 8:00am. She cannot recall anything that happened the night before. Her short term memory has gone to shit. Cannot remember the convo she had 3 minutes prior. Claims she has a pretty bad headache in frontal cortex (7/10 pain). Keeps saying she feels she has lost part of her brain. She cannot remember most of her life she says.
6:00 pm.
I go see her, and everything her boyfriend claims is true. Short term memory shot, keeps asking, "What happened last night?" "What did I take last night?" "What grade am I in?" "Do I have school tomorrow?"
We keep her hydrated and try to get her to eat a bit of food. Give her some fish oil and daily vitamins.
8:00pm
Leave her and her boyfriend to try to get her to sleep.

I'm super worried, I have heard nothing like this happening. I believe she had a negative reaction to the piracetam, but with piracetam having a half-life of 3.5 hrs, why did this happen nearly 12 hrs after the consumption? I consumed the same exact substances with no adverse reaction. I hope I didn't fry my friend. I feel terrible. I hope people take this report into consideration before consuming piracetam to potentiate mdma. Piracetam has not been researched thorougly and can have very negative side effects on certain people. I made the mistake of not having her try piracetam before hand in a smaller dose to see if she had any adverse effects. I'll continue to update what happens to her as we figure things out and hope for the best.

To start I would most definitely give her THIAMINE, with a multivitamin that has Vitamins E and C, and then THIAMINE AND B12! Its possible this is Wernicke's Encephalopathy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wernicke–Korsakoff_syndrome I should point out that the hospital protocol for MDMA overdose is Thiamine to prevent this.
For a couple of days minimum give her these vitamins. You could think about giving her 50mg of 5-HTP every morning for a couple days. This reaction could be connected to the glutamate related effects of piracetam or its modulation of ion channels, to name two possible causes. Regardless, I would give her a benzodiazepine related substance to calm her brain's excitability down, Ambien would be okay but a normal benzo would be preferred I think. Of course I am not a medical professional but I think these are good places to start if going to a walk-in clinic is not an option. Thiamine, multivitamins with vit E and C, and B12, and a benzo to calm her brain down and help her sleep.

One possible reason why this happened a long time after the piracetam dose is that this negative reaction was because of the change in her brain's metabolism (how fast she was burning through reserves), and you only saw the negative reaction of having burnt through the reserves towards the morning, even though it could've been the piracetam that used up a lot of her reserves in the first part of the night. On that note I would give her some sugar water to maintain her blood glucose levels, but as you likely realize don't give her too much water. Girls are very sensitive to many different things, water intoxication as well as overall negative reactions to MDMA (because they are so much more sensitive to drugs).

One scenario I will point out is that someone slipped her something, if you were to want to do the formal hospital thing (which I would consider) and give her a drug screen, it would better be sooner than later if you wish to see if she was slipped something.

Best of luck, keep us updated. Also, I will say this just to make you feel better, when I was young and invincible, I encouraged some people to roll with me and they got very sick as well, so I feel your pain. I hope she's okay. Don't shoot yourself for this if she has after effects for a couple of months :( Welcome to bluelight by the way, wish it could've been under better circumstances you joined us. There is a lot of advice to be had on here about recovery from bad MDMA reactions as well.
Take care.

Ty so much for reply. Can i message you? You are most knowledgable person i can find for this situation. Im startin to trip a bit.

She slept 10 hrs. No change. Getting her vitamins now and doing everything you recommended. Think we can only play this off today and if she doesn't improve then i dont know. What honestly could a health clinic or hospital even do for this situation that we havnt done? Her blood pressure is normal, heart rate normal, 100 degree temperature. She's tripping out a little bit, just confused at the whole situation. Her boyfriend is keeping her calm as possible. Looking for benzos atm for her to sleep.

Don't be afraid to go to the hospital to get her to a neurologist and tell them everything. Best of luck... The 3 minute memory you mentioned is the most alarming symptom by far. If it's purely from the drugs there most be something serious going on in her hippocampus. I would keep doing the 5-HTP if it doesn't seem to be causing harm. It doesn't get absorbed into the brain very well but I would still do it.

Is there a chance she had a concussion? (Bruises on her head or anything tender on the skin of her head?) Head injuries are known to give people couple minute memories for a couple days. This would be hell combined with a comedown. Either way I think she could use a brain MRI or CT scan.

One theory about the memory problems is acetylcholine related, with all the acetylcholine activity especially from alpha gpc and piracetam her receptors could be signicantly down regulated..

So it's 5 days after the initial recognition of her memory problems/loss. We took her to get a catscan after nothing improved over 2 days. She came back with no brain swelling or bleeding. At day 5 she is almost back to normal, just has no idea what happened that night or over the course of 3 days.

Tread lightly with nootropics, can be very unpredictable to the selected few, my friend being one of them.

Thank you for your help Cotcha. I learned a lot from the whole ordeal.

Peace
