Needles

you can also get .8um filters.. got one sittin in my room...

@ OP. just make sure you know what muscle to inject into ;) (as I have no fuckn clue so I couldnt tell you lol)
o.8um filters are cool for injecting tablets fresh out of the bubble pack - but for prepping IM you want to use the bacterial filter.

And Chugs - if you find the plunger sticks it's not a bad idea to work it back and forth a few times before you load your fit. That will make the action smoother

yeah thanks for the advice. that's what we end up doing but its annoying when you forget, you've hit the vein but you pull back to double check that the blood will enter the chamber and bam you find the damn thing stuck which requires more forces therefore causing you to jerk.

but i find it interesting that it only happens on the 1.0ml rigs and not the 0.5ml ones. surely i'm not the only one that has noticed this. and what's more annoying in that NSW needle exchanges give the 0.5ml rigs as standard (or when you get a big 200 box), whilst in comparison the black kit boxes that you get from hospitals and such contain the 1.0ml.

I wonder if there is anyway to ask the health service to pack the boxes with 0.5ml rigs?

Intriguing, I have found exactly the opposite...B.D 0.5 ml I have found to be flimsy, sticky and the actual needle feels much worse upon piercing the skin. On a new point, never used before, it feels like one of the 1ml syringes after several uses, feels as if the needle has been blunted already. Also for some reason I have found it much harder to register with the 0.5ml syringes...sometimes I have been in the vein but blood has not flowed back into the barrel. If it has flowed back into the barrel it has been at an incredibly slow rate. In 10+ years of injecting I have barely ever missed a shot or had these problems until picking up this box of 0.5's (as they did not have any 1ml's in stock).
These are the full size needle (which is what I am used to, not the half inch ones) and injecting methamphetamine.

could be because your just used to using a 1cc.. I tend to have the same trouble as you sometimes when tryin to register with a .5cc fit, missing veins when I swear to god its in..

yes, it could well be it's just not what i'm used to. I'm getting the hang of them now...when I go back to 1ml's it's going to be like shooting fish in a barrel!
