Heroin Needle broke off in arm...

You've got to go get it scanned and checked out, especially given that you don't know where it is. The doctor will determine if it's in a place where it can be left, or somewhere where it has to be extracted for fear of migration (in your vein) or damage to something in the immediate proximity--they'll treat it as if it were a bullet. There's also risk of infection, but it's minimized since it was a sterile needle (assuming it was new and handled properly). They might want you on a different anti-biotic anyway as no anti-biotic is 'all-purpose.'

By the way, anyone who can claim a name, an address and a ssn can go to the ER, and no other excuse is good enough. Worry about financing it ("terms") later, and if you're afraid your primary doc or someone else will find out, I think you understand my prior sentence and the third item being invalid won't prevent you from receiving immediate care.

You know there's nothing you can do, and I don't think you expected replies of 'it'll be fine even though you don't know where it is,' so this should be the nudge you planned on receiving.

I really dont want it on my record that im a drug abuser esp. because i dont wanna lose my xanax script. I would be dead already if it broke off into a vein right? Please answer that question specifcally. What should i do? Could i just keep and eye on it for a day or 2 and if it gets worse then go? its 7 am and i have a very busy schedule today. So can i hold off on the xray of my arm for a day or 2 or is that too dangerous??:(

What good is a Xanax script if you are dead and unable to use it.
Life is more important than a few words on a piece of paper and no script of xanax.

Go to the hospital!

Your arm (potentially your lungs, heart) is more important than your record, but perhaps you failed to get my drift. Not everyone has a driver's license. Not everyone has immediate proof of citizenship even. You can get help at the ER, especially of a public/university hospital, regardless.
 
Take ya butt to the Hospital ASAP. I mean damn you dont want to loose ya Xanax script. Suck up your pride and just go to the ER and leave ya wallet at home. Good luck and GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!
 
Dude all you need to do is go to the ER and ask, is this a life threatening situation. If it's not, they'll give you a referral to someone else who can help evaluate if it's even worth removing or not.

Don't give up on the idea of going to the ER; it could be essential that you do. I remember a BL'er by the name of Eight0Eight who had a needle break off in his leg and it was about a centimeter away from his artery; which would have been disastrous if it had pierced it.

Long story short, it's better to be safe than sorry.
 
is your xanax script worth permanent life changing damage to yourself? If it is you might wanna rethink whats important to you cause putting a xanax script ahead of possible death is kinda crazy
 
I also have two needles that have broken somewhere around the crook of my arm and also another part of my body. Both times I went directley to the ER and told the Dr. that "yes, this happened from trying to shoot Heroin". They aren't going to judge you, atleast not to your face and will probley take an x ray and see if they can or will do anything. I still have two syringe tips in me because it would be harder for the Doctor to go fishing it out than leave it where it is. When it happened I was worried because it could be serious but I cant even really feel them in me......and yeah who would put the chance of losing a xanax script over seeing a Dr. to tell you if you'll be alright.
 
I'm not sure if it did, or did not happen, but I had a very nasty scare with this before.. I was drunk, on a lot of xanax, trying to shoot coke.. Anyways, I was using an old point (Probably used 6 times, dumb, I know..) I wasn't hitting any veins, and I was letting my veins in the crook(s) of my arms heal. I tried to shoot into my forearm, palm side, the vein that runs down by your elbow. Anyways, I was poking myself fairly rough, and the tip of the point started bending. I pulled out, fixed it, and like an idiot went back for more. As I said I was being rough, and as I was pulling the needle out it snapped. I couldn't tell if I pulled out and it fell, or if it actually broke off. I couldn't feel it, I had no pain, and I was way too nervous to tell my parents what happened. I felt around by lightly putting pressure on the area and feeling my muscle, nothing. I then pressed harder (Which I'm sure is dumb) and still felt nothing. Days, weeks, and now probably 2 months have gone by and I still don't feel a thing. If I were you, I'd go to the ER, better safe than sorry. Only time will tell if I'm very very very fucking lucky, or I fucked up.
Note (I didn't hit at all, I was NOT in a vein. My IV days are behind me and I'm never going back) Good luck. Don't be dumb like me, go get yourself checked out, what I did could have potentially been very bad.
