I have been using benzo's for a decent amount of time, i'd say around 5 months off and on and never had any w/d. Used purely for anxiety and insomnia purposes. I never obtained from a doctor but was still getting 2mg xans and 1mg xans regular basis from scripted friends. I have never taken over 6mg for a recreational purpose, but those were always rare occasions.

Anyways, my supply went dry and I discovered the RC Benz scene, and started researching.

I started off with etiz, taking 1mg which upped to 2.5mg during day if needed (made my own solution to superb standards, did ton of research)

When my vendor ran out of etiz(no w/d then either), i decided to turn to Flubromazolam to "give it a try".

My first dose was .125mg and was knocked out completely 3 hours after ingestion. But as the days went on, i began to take more..and more...real fast. I've been at it for about 15 days now and I am close to 1mg daily. Now I have done my research on Benz W/D and the potency/half life of FluOLAM and this is where things begin to get scary for me. I don't want to have a withdrawl nor ruin my benzo tolerance for good, and want to begin a taper schedule. I just need some incite, more or less help. Avoiding seizures and death at all costs, like we all have in common I pray.

I have just received an order of Etiz, not to use ATM but for saving when this FLAM is dead and gone, and i can go back to self medicating properly.

Really, I am here for advice on a tapering schedule with the flam...i have 10mg's left. I posted this elsewhere and people say go to my doctor and get on a plan with him, but that will NEVER happen, off the table. Without outside help, i will attempt my own tapering schedule and use the etiz if necessary? Ive been at 1mg Flam daily for about 3 days, majority of my doses have been on the lower end of the scale.

Let me know. I will bookmark this thread and check.

First time poster, thanks bluelight.

I hope someone can help me. I have 10mgs of FLAM left, and been at it 1mg/day for 3 days. No way will I go over that, i only want to go down at this point and get this FLAM dead and gone.

Adios

Welcome to bluelight. I'm going to move your thread.

Homeless -> Other Drugs

in all honesty fluebromazolam is the worst benzo for tapering, its wayyy too hard hitting and short-lived.
if it was me i would get some diazepam to taper down with, its perfect for it. diclazepam is also pretty good for tapering, hell, even etizolam would be better to taper with than flim-flam. why do you feel you need to taper with flam?
have a read of the ashton manual, its a guide on how to taper efficiently and avoid/minimize withdrawals,

http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzcha02.htm

good luck, and remember, its much safer to taper too slowly rather than too quickly.

The reason i still bring up Flam in the tapering schedule is because of the half life. I am not used to a long half life benzo such as flam, and i don't know if and how to taper off of it, and it scares me. If i can switch from flam and do it with etiz, that would be perfect, and i would dump my flam down the drain asap. I just want second opinions and be safe as possible. My plan is to go very slow, slow and steady, and safely. If I can do it with Etiz, then I will. I have plenty to do a tapering schedule.

More insight welcome, thank you all for reading.

If you're truly worried about seizures or other serious withdrawal symptoms, your best bet would be to get on diazepam or another long-acting benzo. Go to an emergency room and tell them your situation. It might make you look like a druggie, but rapid benzo withdrawal is a medical emergency.

I quit etizolam cold turkey in 2013 and went batshit insane, but no seizures. Not recommended. Even tapering rapidly is better than not tapering at all. Make the remaining mg's last as long as you can. The point of a taper is to prevent the most lethal withdrawal symptoms. Benzo withdrawal is going to suck royally regardless of how slowly you taper, so take the smallest amount you can to prevent seizures. Expect to feel some intense misery, possibly for a very long time.

Check out the Ashton Manual if you haven't already. That woman has more knowledge about benzos in her pinky finger than most US doctors do in their entire bodies.

You need something with a long half life such as diclazepam or flubroMAZEPAM. Diclazepam was perfect for etizolam the first time. I'm tapering off for the second using mostly diclaze but am going back considering using some of the f-PAM due to it's 100some hour half-life. As stated above the ashton manual is an excellent guide and dilcazepam is so close to valium I was able taper off of a heavy habit pretty painlessly the first time.

Sigh, they need to make some more damn benzo's with a shorter halflife... I got lucky and etizolam was made illegal in my state, which I found kinda odd(I'm in MS), maybe all the tweakers were getting caught with it and using it for comedowns...anyway, diazpam is good for tapering, I would look into Diclazapam though, pretty sure it has a long halflife, seems like all the 'rc' benzo's do except for Etizolm.

You do not want to mess around with GABAergic withdrawals. I went through alcoholic hallucinosis once and it was the scariest couple days in my life. Are you in the United States? I was able to do a 5 day medical detox free of charge with county funding. Make some phone calls, and don't give up. You may be surprised at what help is available. It took a couple days of calling the facility to secure a bed, but once I did, I received librium and gabapentin for withdrawals, and hot meals. Considering I was living in a broken down car at the time it seemed like heaven!

Don't give up. Tranquilizers and alcohol are horrible drugs to be addicted to, but you can overcome it!

Thank you for all the replies everyone, I really do appreciate it. I have plenty of mg of etiz to taper with, so I am choosing that route.

Right now I am at about 16mg a day.

First two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a, 4mg 2:00p, 8mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a, 2mg 2:00p, 8mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a, 2mg 2:00p, 6mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a 2mg 2:00p 5mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a 2mg 2:00p 4mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a 1mg 2:00p 4mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 4mg 9:00a no dose 4mg 6:00p
Next two weeks schedule: 2mg 9:00 no dose 4mg 6:00p

*maybe a few more taper levels, but from there cold turkey i feel would do it from there. Its about a 4 month program.

IDK tried to make the schedule myself without dealing with percentages and such. I have read threads about people on 50+mg a day, so as of now I have a feeling of control. I have a feeling that I can successfully taper without the dangerous and as unpleasant W/D effects. If anything were to go wrong, i would definitely get medical consultation.

Thanks again blue light, you guys were very welcoming and helpful. I appreciate everyone of ya that commented.
