A SHOCKED mum opened a loaf of bread to make a sandwich for her son - and found a blood-covered needle pushed into it.
The woman removed two slices from the pack of Roberts wholemeal bread, which she had bought from her local Tesco and found the dirty drug syringe.
The needle had been dumped in the loaf by David Rodgers in a bid to hide his heroin habit from his wife.
The 61-year-old grandad had injected a fix before pushing the drug-taking tool through the plastic wrapper at the Tesco Extra store in Salford, Greater Manchester, on December 1.
A court heard the mum, who bought the bread on the same day, was left "alarmed and distressed" when she noticed the syringe while making the sandwich for her 10-year-old son.
She handed it to police who traced it to Rodgers by his DNA.
He pleaded guilty to contaminating the loaf with intent to cause public alarm at Manchester Magistrates’ Court. The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.

I've just had a proper rant at a mate, for posting such shit. The guy shouldn't have been that ashamed of his habit. It's things like the Sun that stigmatise IV users. Wankers.
