So I had fun plans to roll with the misses tonight but having a cold she took 20 mg of dxm in a cold medicine. My question is if she took the dxm at 1 pm is there ss potential in consuming a pill at like 7 or 8 pm ?

Chances are she would be fine. The half-life is short (2-4 hours) meaning that only about 5-10mg would be left in her system by 7-8pm. This is a very low dose. The doses of DXM within cough mixture are only therapeutic and not recreational. The true danger of incurring SS from the combination would be recreational doses of either consumed simultaneously.

She should be fine but tread with caution.
