Need some help with my new Fentanyl script :)

I was just prescribed 25mcg Fentanyl today to take with my 10mg Oxycodones for numerous awful chronic pain, and now kidney stones. I was on Butrans 20mcg and had an awful allergic reaction.. since this is my first time on Fentanyl, can anyone clue me in on how they affect you? Thanks so much for any help you can offer!

What kind of patches are they? Is is the kind with the gel inside or just the small plastic adhesive patch?

Re: allergic reaction to the Bupe patches - was it resultant from the adhesive?

I had that problem which had me change to fentanyl patches at one point in 2007.
