I think this is the right place for this thread, it involves a lot of retarded and weird relationships, a reasonable amount of sex but next to no love except my love for a fellow man... woman, same shit.
I met this lady in a club one night with a friend. Long story short, we brought her home with us and my mate fucked her. I fucked her later on, despite the fact I wasn't incredibly attracted to her mentally or physically. That bastard stole her from under me first chance he got and gave me the sloppy seconds... hahaha. Anyway, the reason this is relevant is cos we had a short-lived unofficial relationship that I went along with for a variety of reasons, but I decided against a few months down the track. I never meant to play her, but I digress. I'm still probably one of her closest friends, and I still care deeply about her.
Now, she is presently living at her dad's house with 3 of her sisters. She has a kid, she'd be just under 18 months by now I think. She's 21 and she's got an Ex fiancee whom she dumped after finding out he'd been seeing hookers for a period of time after they had their child. I believe she got pregnant by accident, and was going to get an abortion but was talked into keeping their baby by him. He treated her like he loved her, got engaged and all that, but told her a few months ago he never loved her. That's from her account anyway, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. Anyway, she has Audrina generally 4-5 days out of a week, her ex works a rotating roster that doesn't seem to follow any pattern ad can only really take Audy on his days off. He was meant to get day shift so my friend Kara could work a night shift and he'd been telling her for weeks he was going to ask specifically for day shift, but in the end he folded and settled for this fully spasticated roster that really makes it hard for Kara to get a proper job. In short, he really doesn't seem to care much about Kara's future prospects but will happily take Audy on his days off, and will always pay child support. Can't quite get my head around whether or not this guy's an asshole or not...
I guess it wouldn't matter so much if Kara had a caring family and friends to support her, but she's said they don't really give a fuck about her, and from what I've gathered that's pretty much the case. Her mum is separated living somewhere and is claiming 90 grand off her pa as a marriage settlement. Fucking steep considered she dumped him for a junky who got her using again, and also considering he gave her child who wasn't his a roof to live under and she basically shat in his face, and is currently on the run with a warrant pending now I'm guessing. Apparently Kara's mum is giving her some cash, around 5k I think, to get herself a car with, and it sounds like it's going to happen as well once the cash comes through. Who knows. But anyway, where she lives right now isn't exactly ideal for her or her kid to be living in. She pays $100 a week board, that isn't such a problem since she gets $400 a week plus child support, but her sisters are complete moles to her in short. I had a complete spaz at them one night, when they overheard me saying Kara shouldn't be a slave, accused me of back bitching when all I was saying was Kara shouldn't have to clean the emo one's dishes from the night before just cos the bitch was too lazy to do it properly. But she just takes it too easily, is just like 'yeah whatever' when she should be cussing the sluts the fuck out. Like for example, it took her so much effort to get Sam to let her move in the bungalow with her, when it was impossible for her to sleep in her bed for fear of waking Audrina up, and she only let her after they had a go at her for sleeping on the couch all the time and her Dad got involved. And then, the icing on the cake, she had a go at us for supposedly having sex in there after she moved in there, when the only proof she had was the fact we spent so much time in there. I mean, we did fuck in there more times than I can count, but not while she was around to hear us, and one time she yelled at Kara for it under assumptions, Kara admitted we fucked once in there, and she called her a slut for it and threatened to tell her dad. Then a week or 2 later, she went and told her dad. Don't think he had a problem with it tbh, although it sure was awkward seeing him afterward. It didn't really stop us though, I mean when Kara came off the pill we went and pinched a condom right out her drawer one day cos I had none left. I fucking hate that kind of hypocritical bullshit, honestly...
But her dad isn't much use neither. He works a lot, like 6 days a week, and when he is home he's usually not too good to talk to for Kara. He's gotten pretty abusive with her as well, verbally at least, on the odd occasion when he's been at work or in a shitty mood. But he's let a lot of shit happen between Kara and the others that shouldn't have happened, and the others tend to gang up on Kara sometimes or get involved in shit that really doesn't concern them at all and he doesn't mediate or anything. Basically, she's on her own a lot of the time through dramas, she isn't too good at standing up for herself while she's living there, and she needs an alternative option. She has applied for a lot of rental properties but I don't think she's had much success cos property is such a bitch to get in Melbourne these days. I've asked her about commission houses or any Centrelink benefit that might help her, but she says it's pretty dead for her. If she gets kicked out for whatever reason, not that she will necessarily, is there any kind of emergency property that she can apply for? I've always thought it would never happen in Australia that they'd let a single parent and a child live out on the street like that, and I'm pretty sure her Ex wouldn't allow his kid to do that neither. If it happened, I'm guessing he'd either ask for leave from work, take Audy and leave Kara to her own thing, or work around his current shifts and take Audrina as well. I've suggested that despite the unhealthy environment of a heroin junky den she could move in with her mum for a few days or weeks and just be really careful about what's left lying around, but she seems to think in that situation her sisters and/or dad would call the child welfare crew out of spite and they'd take Audy away. If Kara was on the street by herself, I'd literally beg my parents to let her stay long enough to get her shit together and ask her to help around the house or whatever it takes. I've never been in the situation where I may not have a place to stay, let alone had a kid to look after in the same situation, but I've been around plenty of people who got kicked out of home. The only time it's happened that they had to actually live on the streets was when they let the Centrelink bullshit involved get in their way and they either outstayed their welcome elsewhere or they fucked over all their friends, in the case of one hilariously idiotic yet manipulative ex friend I had who seemed to fuck over everyone unfortunate enough to involve themselves in his life. But the point is, when they pushed themselves and realized they had no other option, they always ended up staying somewhere, even in the case of J the dead shit.
Kara ain't a teen no more, but that kind of shit doesn't seem to happen in Australia to vulnerable classes like teens and young single mothers.nI still really care about her and Audrina, which is why I dedicated the last hour and a half or so to writing this couple of paragraphs. Shit, I might have actually succeeded in mainstrain VCE instead of VCAL if I did this much writing in school. Like I said, I don't know what else to suggest to her seeing as I don't have a lot of prior knowledge about emergency living, shared parenting or indeed about much of this bitchy whiney bullshit that goes on between her family and friends, but I do realize that she needs a fresh start and new living conditions. So if you got this far, and have any suggestions, advice or questions regarding this fucked up sitto, I would really really appreciate it. You guys are a bright and open-minded lot, and I don't often have the courage or intiaitive to get involved or add my opinion in your conversations or dream worlds. Much love and thanks in advance
