Opioids need some help guys

Hey guys..I really need some support on an issue..I've been using heroin for the past month sniffing almost a gram...been postponing quitting for awhile until I found these pills some relative of mine got from london..its dihydrocodeine..30mg.. I've looked it up and read some articles around here about it..non had a straight answer..does it postpone the withdrawl?? Is this like subutex? But apparently its not since I'm still crying my ass out of pain..but I can feel the difference big time..so am worried does it postpone the withdrawl? I've taken 8 pills so far n I'm kinda tolerating it..no sweats or grumpy feeling..no bone pain either so am worried..someone hit me with an answer..can I keep taking it for a week and reduce them bit by bit? Ill be fine after that or go through it all over again when I quit it?

It may postpone your recovery a bit as its an opiate but much less effective than heroin. If you are able to schedule dosing and stick to it, it would be recommended that you taper instead of just cold turkeying if you are able to. Tapering is always recommended when quitting any drug, problem is that most people just are not able to stick to it on their own.

Try not to achieve any kind of high of it (I doubt you would even be able to since its weak), just take the edge off from your symptoms and then taper down during few days or a week, its not a bad solution in and may prevent you from relapsing during the acute phase.

Tapering is hard indeed..I can see how helpfull it is..its not a powerfull opiate like bupronorphine for example..I still feel like its cold turkey just without any high..I've taken almost 10 *30 mg today..only the back leg joint pain/ yawning has completly disappeared..so I was worried but I guess ur right I gotta taper down during this week of hope I could quit it and still be fkne without relapsing..god I hate addiction..when does it ever end with heroin ... Thank u so much cook....I hope I can have more replies on people who have been through this and tell me their own experience with dihydrocodeine.

It may take you a lot of tries before u even taper down cos I have been there n I was using 7g between me n my bro but we finally just had enough of being relying on it n just pop a naltrexone pill n went thru rapid detox, it was painful n yes I've done it before but I just couldn't do a week detoxing or jumping on a maintenance program.
