(it is 9.45pm where he is)

at 7pm he took 240mg of codeine (normal dose 180) and started off feeling nice. Then got insanely itchy - he's had the itches before, but not like this - but decided a higher dose more itchyness.

however, he started feeling weird from itching, he got up to itch all over & felt light headed, very hot, sweaty.
he went to get some water 30 minutes ago, and started to faint (he faints regularly and knows what the onset of fainting is like) however this happened very very quickly, he made it back to bedroom doorway when everything blacked out, yet he remained standing and swaying (why didn't he just collapse?)
he has been on the computer since coming back from kitchen, only to now feel very ill, dry mouth, yet cannot put anything in mouth with fear of vomiting, spasaming upper arm muscles and shaking hands.

he should mention he has also taken a benydrly & 2 of the codeine were atasol 30 and the other 6 were pure codeine phosphate.

should he be worried?

thanks,

Extended histamine reactions can happen beyond the normal opioid itch. Go puke, you'll feel better. Codeine's gross. Now you know.

P.S.: Stop talking in the third person. We know it's you.

Thats not a particularly high dose, you should be fine.

Sounds more like postural hypotension
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthostatic_hypotension

nerves probably made it worse afterwards, the fact you didn't fall over is a good sign it wasn't too severe.
Feeling ill is a side effect of opis and anti-hists, you might be sick.

Just chill for a bit and post back if anything else happens.

morphine based? what do you mean by this?
he has only ever taken codeine based painkillers - but then codeine is converted into morphine once in the body.
codeine make you itch like a bitch, sometimes its manageable, sometimes its not.

DistyBoi, cheers for the help,
hes been lying down since posting and feels ok now, still sick, dry mouth and slight shakes, but not a lightheadedness as before

Try taking a cool shower, and eat some crackers. If you still feel like ill put ya finger down ya throat and throw up you will fell 1000 times better. sit back and enjoy the rest of ya high

well hes just woken up and his left eye is slightly swollen, his right one however is huge, there is very little eye to see under the puffy eyelid - and he can actually feel the intensity of the swelling, not just have to look in the mirror to know its there.
This has never happened before... He has done an internet search and found that its an apparent allergic reaction to codeine/acetaminophen - he does not believe this because he is an avid user of codeine & acetaminophen.

Help Please?
