I've been taking hydrocodone for over 3 years now. When I first started it made me super sick...I would puke my brains out. Once I built up tolerance I was fine. So for the past 4-5 months my normal dosage is anywhere between 150-180mg at a time. I would get sick once in awhile if I popped pills on an empty stomach...but very rarely did that happen. This past week I've been getting sick after every fuckin dose. Now im not too experienced with all this opiate stuff...but is it the tylenol that's making me sick? Or the hydrocodone? And why is this happening again out of nowhere? I can't even enjoy my high cause it lasts 10 min and then im yaking. If I take my dose after I eat im fine but obviously it doesn't hit me as good since my stomach is full. Any ideas/thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried doing a CWE to remove the APAP? The daily recomended dosage for acetaminophen is 4,000mg. All that acetaminophen takes a toll on your liver, so a CWE is advised for HR sake.

No I have not. I've been meaning to do it but im still reading up on it to make sure I do it correctly. I read the thread on here about CWE so tomorrow I will try it for sure. Hopefully that solves the issue. Thank you for your advice. I also want to add that taking a xanax 1mg before I take hydrocodone seems to prevent the nausea and vomiting. Any ideas as to why benzos help with that?

Benzos slow the CNS and have muscle relaxant properties, so in essence it's "relaxing" the smooth muscles responsible for vomiting.

I've noticed the same thing in myself when I take benzos! I actually get motion sickness pretty badly if I'm a passenger in a car for too long, and benzos have always helped me not get nauseous :)

So your dosing 4,875-5850mg of APAP at a single time? I read correct your NOT doing a CWE?

Thats just assuming your using Norcos 10/325.

APAP poisoning my friend.

Just to add -- I damaged my liver after I had gotten mono because my liver and spleen both got enlarged, and I (stupidly) continued to drink alcohol and mix it with my opiates while NOT doing a CWE.

I learned the hard way and i ALWAYS CWE mow. Taking the extra time for a CWE will help you out in the long run, trust me!

You NEED to do a CWE at those doses. It sounds like you have done some damage to your liver and that is why you are getting sick each time you dose.

I feel like a complete idiot now. Im going to start CWE from now on. Thankfully my liver isn't fucked yet. I had it checked when I went to the emergency room a few weeks ago for bad back pain. I told them that I am an addict and they made sure to check my liver. The dr was actually stunned that my liver was not completely fucked. I really need to stop being an idiot and start doing this the right way. Thankfully I have you guys to help me with my stupidity lol

You're poisoning yourself with APAP. Please be extremely careful from here on out, it's vital that you treat your body with the respect it deserves, addict or not. In fact, addicts moreso than regular healthy people.

here's a link to the CWE megathread just in case.

I'm so glad that you caught this before you did severe permanent damage!
Take Care.

Don't feel like an idiot, it's use a shame that you didn't think of using a CWE until now. Sometimes it takes a bit of a scare to start putting your health first.

Anyway, I'm going to close this now. Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions, regarding the closure of the thread or anything else.
