I wouldn't be surprised is this isn't allowed, but I sort of really need a quick answer and I'm afraid my post won't get answered if I go to the main mushroom thread.

Tomorrow afternoon, me and my friend intend to take 2 grams of shrooms. His first and only shroom trip was a bad one, and he's pretty scared of having another bad one. That's why I want to make this the best experience I can, but I have very little experience with shrooms, and have two options of the setting.

My first plan was to shroom in the neighborhood I grew up that also happens to be right next to my school. We both know the area really well, and we could go to my dad's house if we needed to.

But I've also heard that nature is the best place to be on shrooms. I found this place a little while ago, and it's really secluded and I made it into a sort of "camp". The only thing is that we wouldn't have a house to fall back on. And we couldn't leave if we wanted to because I refuse to drive on any psychedelics.

What's the best idea for my situation?

PS: I'm really sorry if this thread isn't allowed. I just didn't think about the second place until now and tonight is the last time I'll be on this site before we trip tomorrow.

Your friend might be more sensitive to mushrooms, or they just might not be for him at all. People I know who love acid and other trippy drugs don't like mushrooms at all. IMO/E they are a very difficult psychedelic to enjoy. I've only had 1 bad trip which was my first time and was a very very low dose, due to an incredibly annoying friend.

I'd recommend you trip in your neighborhood just in case you need to head back to your dad's place, I trust it's a safe location? You wouldn't want to both be stuck in 1 place for an entire trip with no way back home.

Happy zooming!

p.s. I'm new here but as far as I know you aren't breaking any rules brotha.

Hmm, yes, my neighborhood is a safe place. I think you're probably right. The spot I found might be fun for some other day, maybe when we have a sober friend to drive us away if we don't want to be there. Two inexperienced shroomers in the wilderness all alone probably isn't the best idea. Haha.

No its probably not. My first and only bad trip to date occured at a psytrance music festival in the bush. I started to feel trapped as in I couldnt leave if I wanted/needed to and the anxiety built from there.

Nature is great but you can still see the sky, trees etc in the suburbs.

i say wait a week and plan this better. bring a sober friend with you to the nature place so you guys can drive home if you need to (ie if it gets to night time and you guys are still fucked up)

I would always go with nature and wilderness if I have the opportunity. That kind of setting makes the trip just so much more rewarding; so much more friendlier and euphoric. You feel infinitely more connected to everything, whereas urban settings can make you feel somewhat cut-off from your natural roots. It just seems like a no-brainer to me, something I would do on auto-pilot because my body and my soul craves it.

Unfortunately that makes it more likely that he has another bad trip. Maybe you should start the trip in the house. The best location is the location where he feels safe in his state of mind. Then ask him later after the peak if he wants to go out. If he has a bad trip stay inside.

Experience the place you think you know like the back of your hand, surprises loom around every corner with shrooms ;)

Yeah nature is great - I love nothing more than being in the remote Australian bush on psychedelics - but I've also had some of my best psychedelic experiences lying in my backyard sucking down nitrous and staring at the sky/trees. Given the far higher chance of something going wrong with just two inexperienced people alone in the forest I would stay closer to home.
