Round the corner is summer, and therefore its nearing the time that Papaver Rhoeas ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papaver_rhoeas ) Grows and flowers.
I like to take the petals off the plants and dry them. If you then take the dried petals, around 1 - 2 teaspoons worth and put into an empty teabag, infuse with boiling water for 15 minutes, Add a taste of Ribena its a nice little insomnia cure and its free, and its legal to take Papaver Rhoeas petals too.
I know some fields they grow around the outskirts of in the summer time, and i am literally looking at picking lots and lots of these petals and mass drying them.
The best idea i could come up with so far is, to put them in a steel mesh bin, which is attatched to a drill to rotate and to put my heatgun underneath and spin it slowly until they are all dried out.
What are other peoples suggestions on picking and drying MASS quantities of these? i would like to keep a years worth, probably dried and in Latch top jars.
Here is a guide on how to make the Infusion: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/entries/...oo-(Depending-on-time-of-year)-Papaver-Rhoeas.
