Need Help!!!!

Need Advice Please!!!

Hi everyone,

I have been on suboxone for a year now (currently on 16mg).I have been on and off it about 6 times due to me using again. My drugs counsellor doesn't want to reduce my dose, as I've heard 'less is more' but she said that's just rubbish!!! I can't get her to change her mind - it's insane! I really feel like she just isn't listening to me but there is no-one else that I can really talk to about it.
So the last 3/4 weeks I have been back dabbling with heroin again and generally screwing my life up. I'm now at a point where I am being offered the option of trying methadone. I have heard all the bad stories about methadone and suboxone and I haven't got a clue what to do. I want to try methadone...it might just be the change that I need. But I'm SO not sure!!What do I do?? Very confused!
Any comments would be really appreciated - thanks guys

Welcome to Bluelight sherelle!

Check out all the threads on Suboxone and Methadone in the OD Directory as linked in my signature. There is a ton of info there. I think you need to decide what it is you want to do now. Basically get off of opiates altogether, get stabilized on maintenance for the long term, or just have a steady legitimate source of opiates but also keep using on the side. Suboxone is better for some and methadone is better for other. Anyways read up in there and feel free to ask any more specific questions you have.
