Heroin Need Help

Ok i am 18 years old, i use around a gram of heroin a day. Around 3 PM today i took an 8 mg suboxone sublingually. I decided i was going to try to shoot through it. So around 9 PM (6 hours later) i picked up a half gram of dope. I shot exactly half of that and felt really good and everything was fine. Ok so 30 minutes ago (3 hours after the first shot) i decided to shoot the other half.

I pushed the plunger down got pretty much the whole shot in when all of a sudden things felt wrong. I got extremely itchy (I never get itchy anymore when i use, that only happened when i first started using), i had an overwhelming BAD feeling around my body. It felt like an overdose. Right now i feel fine but it REALLY REALLY SCARED ME. My question is can anyone maybe shed some light on what the hell just happened to me? I tried to give you guys some details too to help you out in answering. Thanx

Stop shooting dope while on Suboxone, either one or the other not both at the same time.

Wait a few days for the suboxone to be eliminated. Problem solved.

I think it had nothing to do with the sub...why would the sub have any effect?

I think it was something lke cotton fever type shit

IDK for sure why this happened - BUT I have had a very very similar experience while I was on MMT. I had reached full saturation (90mg of MMT) and I knew that the dope would most probably be blocked but I said fuck it and tried anyways. Put some tar in a rig and lettttterrrr rippp. Resulting in an EXTREMELY intense histamine reaction which had me clawing at my face, I almost felt like I was gonna pass out because of the pins and needles, uncomfortable itchy/hurting feeling that rushed through my face, then body. A few mintues later it all went away and while my pupils were mildly pinned I had no body high to speak of. VERY VERY wierd. Also why you should not try and "shoot through" your maintence dose of either subs or mmt. its just a waste of good dope/money.

Thanks for the last two post guys. I know that it has nothing to do with suboxone and a histamine reaction sounds exactly like what happened to me except i stayed high after. And YES EVERYONE I KNOW that using while on suboxone is a waste. I just can never seem to have willpower to wait till after its out of my system. anyways, wow! thats all i can say about what i felt like last night i seriously thought i was about to die. i was soooo freakin itchy! I cant beleive i didnt think about the possibility of a histamine reaction or like cotton fever. Well thanks guys for the replies

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I shot up heroin into an artery. I had the exact symptoms you described. I still got very high but the horrible/weird symptoms outweighed the high and made it miserable.

Your not supposed to shoot up in an artery(I forgot the exact reasons why but I think it has something to do with the blood in your artery's "act" differently than blood in your veins or somethign)....????...dunno.....but luckily I had a friend with me at the time who is going through medical school and explained to me what I had done wrong. So all I had to do was take some benadryl and within like 5 minutes I was fine. And I know for a fact it wasn't anything in the dope or anything like that because I had been shooting up that dope before and after this experience and only when I shot up in an artery did I have that experience. I guess it was a hystamine reaction or something(atleast thats what my friend said).

your story is exactly what happened to me. I turned red all over my body and was itching like crazy. I did a shot of this dope 2 hours before that happened to me and everything was fine. So yes it wasnt the dope for me either. maybe i did hit an atery because lately ive been having trouble hitting my usual veins. I dont really recall exactly where i hit but it could have very well been an artery. Im pretty sure now what happened to me.

Sounds like a huge Histamine release to me.
Maybe try take an Antihistamine if things are still bad?

I don't think it has anything to do with arteries. I have always shot in the same huge vein on the surface of my arm ever since I started shooting. only after I've been using for a while and I get my dose up to a quarter gram or more and its good dope and I do my usual large dose I always turn red for a bit And get that intense itch all over my body. sometimes to the extent my hands and face swell a bit and at extremes (with extra large dose) my whole body (mostly legs) will shake fir a bit. I however LOVE this sensation (mostly just the intense itch all over my body) like I said I know for a fact I shoot in a vein and it happens with all sorts of dope as long as its good shit and I do my normal large dose I get that everytime, save maybe once or twice I just didn't get it for some odd reason, and it pissed me off. I believe its a histamine reaction, not an od or an artery. mu girlfriend dose the exact amount I do and also gets this sensation as often as I do. however I can't say why it happened to u guys out of the blue. maybe u did more without realizing it, or the part of the dope u did that one time had more in it (often times when heroin is mixed its not mixed good enough and some clumps are stronger, think clumpy cake batter). I wouldn't be worried or freaked out about it. I look forward to that sensation.


also: I'm pretty sure shooting into an artery is pretty bad. I'm not positive tho. I know if u shoot coke or Meth into an artery u will loose your arm/hand/leg cause of How it restricts blood vessles. I also think arteries tend to be much deeper than veins. but like I said what u guys are describing is exactly what happens to me and I know I shoot in a vein. and it only starts happening after a while and I'm doing a bunch all at once, all the while using the same vein the whole time.

Why keep trying to shoot through your dose of Suboxone? Why not just NOT take the Suboxone? If you use a gram of H a day, what's the point in taking Suboxone? Just save the Suboxone for when you don't have any H.

im not on a maintenence. I just buy some subs every now and then wen i dont think i can afford my habit during hard financial times. i just so happened to have come up on money the day i had already taken my suboxone.
