Need help with baby sprouts AHH!

If you want to figure out an early SEX test for your plants, you can force them into flower briefly by doing a 12/12 light cycle for a few days until you see their sex parts. Then immediately throw them back into veg light cycle (18/6 or 24/0) so they don't flower too soon. However, be aware that this method will drastically slow the growth of the plant as well.

The tall ones are probably male, so you could just keep an eye on them until they naturally show their sex and then do whatever you want with them (most people throw them away).
 
I noticed that the stem is browning near the soil line....I think this sprout is in danger of damping off....

Have you ever grown before??8) Alot of this post is shit, and misinformation..

OP, going by that pic it looks like your growing your sprouts in a greenhouse?

The pic of the sprout you put up looks good, kinda stretched though and if you have others that are taller then it then your gonna need to give them all more light. Like maybe wack some fluro's over all of them?

I Dont know where wolf got "if there tall there probably males" sounds to me like a guess at best, and obviously the dude has never grown before..(in saying that, I have found males, some males to grow a bit quicker/more vigouros then females but this was much later in life, not when they had just sprouted) The reason your plants are getting tall so quick is lack of light.

Also, going 12/12 on sprouts for only a few days isnt going to be long enough. Ive done 12/12 from seed twice and found after 2 weeks to a month to be long enough for them to become sexually mature and show you there sex.

If you end up with a females and male(s) you will want to throw the males away definatly, unless you want to grow seeded buds.

I have read this from numerous sources, and I have seen it with my own two eyes (yes I grow AND I read holy shi-!). If you haven't come across this belief ONCE in your growing experience, you my friend need to read more.

Try Google next time, it's pretty useful for basic information like this.

This was my initial thought too, I guess because you are actually agreeing with me, you agree that your post is complete shit as well. Or maybe you are just quick to judge and don't actually read, review or research someone's post before typing.

the stem is also thinner at the soil line....this is another symptom of damping off.....as a precaution, you should be sure that there is plenty of ventilation.

you could also remove some of the top of the peat pot.....that would allow more air to the soil line..
 
hey guys thanks for the advice why could no one be helpful like this towards the beginning of the post? And as for the debate over whether or not its a male or female or an issue with lighting is kinda obvious in the part of my post that says they are being grown in 100% the exact conditions. Good idea cutting the peat pot so the soil line can breathe. And yes I have them growing in my greenhouse but will most likely want to transfer them to outdoors. When can they be put outside out of the four sproutlings i had one was destroyed by my little puppy unintentionally but from the remaining three; two of which are shorter and the stems are a tad bit wider(fatter), while the remaining tall sprout is still twice the height of the midgets. Will post more recent photos asap thanks guys.

BS. If you improve there lighting situation, they should make a comeback. In a very RADICAL method...I'll tell you something crazy I did that honestly worked....

So...I have about 9 baby plants...I germinated and planted 3 more. 2 of them got flooded out by this big storm we got. The one remaining one, sprouted out of the ground like maybe an inch...and nothing....it was just bent over and the 2 leaves were not opening and it was starting too turn a dark color...NOT GOOD!

Sooo...out of boredom I took a syringe (yes the type you inject heroin with...I forget the gauge but it is a VERY small needle), filled it with a fertilizer that has a very high level of nitrogen about 30 units, and injected directly into the stem. The way I saw it...if these needles can get me high realyl fast, maybe they could save my plant REALLY fast. And guess what? It turned green within the next 2 days after that...and although it's the smallest out of all of them it LIVES!! <3

Now...your plant, I don't think needs an onjection. I think a spot with more sunlight, and water should do the trick. I do highly suggest putting your plants on a bi weekly nitrogen supplement regement. For me...it's like night ad day. And the morale of my lil story was...sometimes you have to do unconventional things too save a life; and in emergency plant situations I do suggest a direct injection.
 
Ive been arrested before with plants growing that werent even sprouted and when I got out 19 days later 3 of them had grown over a foot, had 4 sets of leaves but they were dead. So sprouts can definitely come back, mine had only been watered when the seeds were planted and they were under an incandescent bulb.
Just make sure they get plenty of air movement so the stems will grow stronger and put a light closer to them and it'll stop stretching so drastically. I've also found males to grow much faster than females, although its not sure-fire it's damn near always true
 
growing is serious business.....the plants depend on you for everything.....you can't just go off and leave them.....maybe you need to re-think this thing..
